  1. Ok so before i even really get this started i want to explain how this came to be...

I have this friend who rescued three plants from a farm that ran into a major power issue. I had shown up to his place one day to three plants dying in his kitchen with no effort put into maintaining them, so i suggested letting me grow them for him, its been forever since i have really done it, and i need somthing to put my time into now that im a civilian.  I find it might be slightly therapeutic.  So then i decided that im going to continue these plants legacy and set ehm up and grow them to the best of my ability without spending a single cent.  these first pics are just what i setup for immediate recovery.  Keep in mind i have a very tiny apartment and nothing really oin hand.

Everything that is going to be used in this experiment will be salvaged, found or otherwise aquired without me spending any money.  Im curious to see how well i can recover them.   So far i have them well lit and ventilated with a decent temp of about 85 degrees, im going to start the taller two plants right off in flowering for12/12 lighting, and put the weak guy into 16/6 lighting (veg) to try and get it up to par.  I know i should veg all three, but the other two were on flower, and have already started to produce the first signs of budding.  So nothing spent nothing gained (or lost in this case lol)     So please remember these things before you start hating, though i would more then love and welcome any and all tips ,thoughts,or criticisms.

  3. Do you have the veg and flower plants separate? And what's with the 16/6 for veg? Or was that a typo and you meant 18/6? Because 16 + 6 = 22. There's 24 hours in a day. Unless you're in Alaska? Just busting balls.

If you have a smaller fan, put it in there to blow directly onto your plants to drive the heat out a bit more. 85 degrees is pushing it. especially in flowering stage. otherwise, the plants look good. what do you plan to use for fertilizer?

  5. yes i meant 18/6 lol and im close enough, although i think WA gets less light then alaska sometimes ha ha. But i have a minor dilemma, i dont know if ill have a good enough set up (because of limited space) to have two separate stages growing. The two healthier plants look like they could do alright going to flowering, i just dont know if i should keep all three in veg for a little while longer to strengthen them, and hopfully get the small weaker one caught up.  I dont know what the guy before me was doing, but i can tell theyve been stressed plants for a while.

Although after just one night of at least considering plants needs, they have perked up a little, and starting to gain some of their color back. ANd is it possible to have a clone make it if you dont have any of the special rooting compounds?  just out of curiosity

  7. Yes, a clone can make it without rooting hormones, but those do not look like any plant I would want to take a clone from. You should veg them all whether they started to flower or not, IMO. I suggest you give them all 24 hr light for about 3 days, then switch to 20/4. That should be enough to take the flowering ones back into vegetative state. I know you are trying to spend no $ but you really should try to get more lights in there, and move the lights you do have much closer. Oh, and as someone else mentioned, 85F and up is too hot. You need to get that temp down or the plants will suffer.

  8. Glad you rescued them.  Good luck on,the grow.

  9. Ya i totally overhauled the set-up i had for them, they are at a more moderate temp, Im going to take that advice and go 24/0 for three days and move them towards a strict summer schedule, they can def use the time to strengthen. I am not sure yet on fertilizer.... im open to suggestions...so far they're still planted in what they came in as far for so.  I have acquired another light, its not much just a regular lamp/bulb im gonna have to work on that.  I've been spraying them with mist, and watering about 2 cups between three plants every day but i feel like i need to up that, especially for the middle plant , its kinda yellowish and still droopy.
