Best Ph Meter Under 200

  1. What PH meter do you guys suggest i'm looking to spend around $100 but can go up to $200 if I need to I want one with a replaceable probe that wont cost me a lot when it needs to be replaced.

  2. I am also interested in what is the best ph meter for under 200$. A lot of people have recommended to me the hannah combo ph/ec tester but it seems no matter which ph meter you look at online half the reviews are saying it's shit and won't calibrate.

  3. I dont know how much it will cost in the US but bluelab is one of the best brands.

  4. I'm not sure how you can't be able to calibrate this one without you being an idiot... This is the one I use, I bought it last year, but I switched to organic. It DOES work well though, I used it for one grow. http://www.amazon.com/Hanna-Instruments-HI98128-Temperature-Tester/dp/B0085WV6GM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1401279217&sr=8-1&keywords=hanna+98128

  5. Its not that the process is hard its that often you get shipped a meter with dry or broken probes that will never calibrate correctly.

  6. Bluelab is the best ph meter by far. It even has a little tick on the bottom of the screen to tell you it's properly calibrated. When it needs recalibration the tick will disappear.

  7. I use a blue lab truncheon, but hydroton makes a good probe that reads into the tenths for under $200U.S.. Peace!

  8. I have been using the Milwaukee pH 600. Works like a treat, I would suggest getting the 7.0 calibrating solution too

  9. Blue lab combi metre, the replacement probes are a bit pricey at £60 but the metre is the bizz

  10. Therer are many decent brands under $100.  Quality digital meters are usually at least 80.
That's the basic pH pen model.
There are also models which utilize a remote probe which are more handy for hydro setups.  The probe allows you to continuously monitor the pH.  I saw one today at da local shop for like $180.

The bottom line is that you can get a reliable meter for a little under $100.
    Also buy:
-Isopropyl alcohol (not rubbing alcohol) to clean the electrode after use
    -pH calibration fluid
