What Should I Do About The Frost??

    It's suppose to frost tonight and my plant is outside. I can't bring it in though because I already have it planted in the ground. How can I protect it from the frost?

    A makeshift greenhouse, or sounds stupid but logical put a lined cardboard box over it over night.

    Would a 5 gallon bucket work? Won't the plant still be cold as fuck?

    I think Anything that can fit over would work but I would say a blanket is a must

    You can just simply put a tarp over it overnight, and take it off an hour or so after the sun comes up after the frost melts away.  Use rocks or wood or bricks or something heavy to weigh down the ends of the tarp, make sure the tarp is large enough so you're not damaging the top of your plant.
     
    I've used it on my crops in a mild frost with success. 
     
    EDIT:  The idea is to insulate the plant so that the moisture in the air and the plant doesn't freeze and rupture the cell walls.  The only way I can compare a blanket and a tarp is that the blanket is more porous and thus has less of an insulating capability.

    I just cover them real snug in blankets or sheets and I guess also putting a big bucket around it till morning wouldn't hurt
