Still working on my first grow and I'm not sure if this lady is ready to be chopped and dried.

Anyone have any input on how much more time I should give her?

  2. That's looking very nice. How many weeks into flower? It kind of looks like you should start the flush if you haven't already.

  3. Haven't started to flush yet, but that was going to be my next question.  Should I be flushing with distilled water or is tap water alright?  Also how often should I flush?

  4. They're auto WW and they've been flowering for about 8 weeks now

  5. The water you use will depend on your available tap water, I guess. I use tap water in my area no problem, but we also have some of the best water in Canada. To flush it, add water enough to let quite a bit come out your drainage holes, then let it be as if it was just a watering.

  6.
So give it a good flush now, and that may be all you have time for, as you will want to let it dry out a bit before the chop.

  7. I say flysh wait a week chop... how do the trichomes look

  8. That looks very good.  I usually check the pistils and wait until at least 60% have changed color, then I feed with molasses water for a couple days, then I would start the flush.  It takes a couple days for the sugars to work up the stalk to the buds, by that time you've chopped it and those sugars help finish the flavor of the buds.

  9. Thanks for the input.  I fed with molasses 2 weeks ago, and flushed with ph'd tap yesterday.  How often should I be flushing? I was gonna flush again in 4-5 days, let her dry for a couple days and then chop.  Any thoughts?

Substitute watering with flushing from now on. Allow the medium to dry up and breath like normal watering, except flush... don't water. And don't feed it anything. The point of flushing is to flush ALL nutrients out. Tap water is okay if you're going to let it sit out for 24 hours first because the chlorine will evaporate. I would use ph balanced distilled water using the 3 to 1 ratio. Flush 3 gallons of water per 1 gallon of soil. 5 gallon pot? Flush through 15 gallons of water.... get a 5 gallon bucket and do it that way.... Yes, seriously. Most of those hairs are going to recede back into the bud and thats when you'll know when to chop. From the date of those pictures, I would start flushing now and examine it in another week. You may have another week or two from the date of those pictures.

  11. So you're saying one 3:1 R/O ph'd flush now should be all they need until they're chopped?  Good looking out.

Yes, basically. From here on out, stop feeding her any nutrients. The only thing you should be giving her is plain ph balanced water up until about a week before you harvest which could be a few days from now (meaning friday could be a week from harvest). We'll know for sure in a couple of days. At that time (friday) flush once at 3:1 and then let her dry out. And don't worry, your leaf's will start turning yellow and it will look like she's starting to die... but that's because she is! She's coming to the end of her life cycle and since you're flushing all her nutes out she is going to have deficiencies. Whatever natural nutrients that she does still have will be put completely put towards bud production.

Usually I'll flush her and then put her in a complete 72 hour dark period, then chop her down!

Note: don't flush until we know when you're going to harvest. Just feed balanced water.

  13. Yeah Mr. President knows his stuff here; good advice

  14.
I'm obviously a huge noob, so I'm still a little bit confused, sorry man.  If I flush this friday, I should kill the lights for 72 hours and harvest on Monday?  Or should I let her dry out for a handful of days, flush again, and then kill the lights?

For now, I'll plan on flushing friday.

  15. Also my leaves have already started to turn yellow and wilt towards the base of the plant about a week ago.  About 4 weeks ago, it seemed like I was having a Magnesium deficiency(small rust spots on the leaves), so I gave her a flush.  I've been feeding VERY VERY low strength bloom nutes every five days, one dose of molasses, and a 1/2 strength dose of cal/mag.  Not sure if this makes a difference, but I thought I'd let you know.

  16. Its okay dude... i sometimes over-do it and forget that its kind of a lot to take in.

At this point. Stop feeding her. Just water her like normal for now. Regular, pH balanced water. Take a few more pictures in a couple of days so we can see how she looks. We want to start flushing when we have a really good idea as to when we're going to harvest. Right now it looks like you could harvest anywhere from 1-2 weeks from now. But that guesstimate could drastically change in a couple days.

Just water her like normal and take some pics and post them on Friday. We'll go from there bro.

  17. At this point in the plants life you should have been feeding her at full strength. She probably had a few deficiencies and then flushing her washed whatever nutes that were in there out. That's okay though.... live and learn. Just concentrate on what you can do from here on out and we'll all be here to help you out.

  18. Shitttttttt.  Alright cool, no worries, I expected some setbacks with my first grow.  Appreciate the help.

I'll snap and post some new pics tomorrow and we'll see how she's looking.  This morning there wasn't a huge change in bud size or density since the original pics (3 days ago).

  19. Added 5 new pics from tonight: Let me know if you guys think I should go ahead with the flush tomorrow.  Thanks again for all of the feedback

  20. where are they?
