  1. Have any of you also felt out of place in the weed community?

I started smoking weed very young and did so sporadically when I was in my teens. I started up again due to chronic pain issues and now smoke daily. I'm in my early 40's, buy my weed by the oz., living in a non med state, and used to grow a little. I 'm a grad student, wife, and mom. I view myself as a stoner without a community.

I don't hide my usage from anyone and am not interested in learning to roll blunts. I vaporize and smoke joints, sometimes use my trusty bong if I am feeling like a kid.

My question Where are the magazines and websites for others like me, the boring old time stoners with great professional jobs, kids, and the SUV?

This subforum has been a great help but it is getting full of young kids and boring high stories.

Old fogeys, let us stand up and pull out our joints and toke to the good old days. The days of Graffix, album covers covered in stems and seeds, buying pot in a wrinkled up non ziploc sandwich bags.

    How I miss you.

  2. I agree, but I dont think there are enough of us on gc to support the sub forum. It seems the median age is closer to 14 than it is 40. Sadly Ive yet to find such a place.

  3. Actually, there are quite a few, you just gotta look.

I was going to write some down but I realized there are a BUNCH.

  4. Yea there is a lot of us over 40, our kids are grown and gone.

  5. lmao!!!! They may be grown, but their not always gone!!! Hey, them kids, got the world by the balls and us old fools dont know a dam thing. Or at least thats most of the impressions i get from the forums. BUT...there are a few of the young ones who actually DO take in what us older folks have to say and learn from it. Thems the ones i like.

  6.
We just gave the last one the boot, He has to go live with his little sister this summer.

I like to show kids how to work hard, get them to help for 15-20 minutes and see them act like they are dieing, then I keep going 6 more hours. :)

I had to tell my 22 YO stepson he was" a whiny cream puff", LOL. For a 280 lb kid he sure is a big pussy. LOL I hour of work had him whining on facebook. Boy did his mom and I tear him and his friends up. ROFLMAO.

I just love to troll the adult kids, they are so easy to pick on. :D

Any recomendations? When seasoned tokers has threads like "hotbox the earth" and "name the strain" this obviously isnt the place.

Hi, I've been toking and growing since I was 14, and my favorite band growing up was the Beatles if that gives you a time reference..but I hate to be a downer but people of our age seem to catch a lot of grief on this site...seems if you aren't of the mindset that you should be buying very expensive art glass bongs (which the owners of this site sells and encourages through financial incentives to certain members) then you are either too "stupid" "don't have enough experience (YEAH, RIGHT) or you are just some poor person incapable of understanding that expensive glass is the future of weed. The younger generation here, as I'm sure you have witnessed, are totally captivated and hypnotised by the MARKETING. Nothing wrong with business, but make a disparaging comment about expensive glass and you risk the wrath of a hundred bleary eyed kid consumers and even the occasional warning from certain moderators. But other than that, WELCOME ABOARD and if you dont mind I'll follow and be a friend. We old stoners need to stick together.

  9. I say this to anyone who is looking for a more mature online cannabis community: Fuckcombustion. Also, maybe you will drop the nasty habit and pick up vaping!

  10. OP Happyscrappy here-- I appreciate the love shown here.

I have lurked on FC for about the past year. About vaping, if I am out of the house my Pax is in my purse and it is next to my bed otherwise. FC is too fetishy vapy for me. I am just looking for people who just want to share the love and benefits of getting high.

It's like my love of cars. I appreciate the engineering involved but sometimes I just want to enjoy the drive.

  11. I think it's a non-issue.  Not only is it silly that there is even a 'weed community' concept, there are plenty of mature blades on this site and others.

I love tomatoes.  I grow fantastic ones.  I don't pine away for a tomato community.

Try cheechandchong.com or willienelson.com or sirpaulmccartney.com (although he recently quit). Good luck and hang in there! Never forget the days of 5 finger lids for $10....

  13. The growing section here is also a pretty good place to find people to talk to who are more mature.

  14. That's you, I love cats, I own fantastic ones and I absolutely pine for a cat community (I'm sure there is one, but I'll always be a GC gal).

  15.
I love cats too.  I'd rather have a cat community than a cannabis community.  My plants can't cuddle me at night.

  16. hello. i am ye old time smoker. I reside at the age of 169. I've been smoking since the late 1800's and i have many stories to tell...

    :)

  17. You just dont understand man. You cant get a good buzz unless you smoke out of a $300 roor.

Just kidding, no way in hell i would pay for some of the over priced glass. Garauntee my old ass has more money than most of the kids, I just dont see a value in it.

  18.
There can be only One.  Meet me at the Church, holy ground, where we can safely discuss the parameters before we meet again someplace private where we can dance.  To the victor goes the Quickening.

  19. If only i could find time fellow marijuana smoker. I'm too busy winning parameter discussions and blowing minds on the dance floor. Maybe i could find time in the next 300 years ;)
