When you find out you might have cancer...

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by SamsonNite, Apr 12, 2014.

  1. Thanks for clearing up some misunderstanding.

But to everyone: Please don't give me misinformation just cause you want to bash western medicine and give weed over glorified medicinal benefits. I was/am the same way (I didn't take ANY pharmaceutical products for over a year and a half, believe me I know the evils)

I'll be sure to let you know all the details once I get the results.

-Oh, and you can call me Sam. Not my actually name, but makes it feel more personal

  2.

THAT is NOT what you said.  The first blog post addressed specific cancers, at specific stages.  And that second study you posted does NOT say

but rather, it's about patients' understanding of their chemotherapy goals (which are not binary: either prolong life, or improve quality).

  3. I'm not calling you a liar or saying you don't know what you're talking about, just that having actually experienced conventional therapy myself... Maybe the perspective is different when you're actually there in person? Was i the anomaly because my oncologist gave no concern towards diet, nutrition, prevention, etc?

Btw why the hate on Dennis hill - the blog post? He's a biochemist. And he has the first person experience of treating his own cancer. Do you have a problem with his information? You have a degree in his field... Are you saying he's wrong?

If everyone who has treated their ailments with cannabis successfully, decided instead to do what you suggest - wait until there is peer reviewed studies confirming what's already believed , there'd be lot of people still waiting around to be helped, or would be dead already, as many were left unserved by the medical industry.

Do you understand that you're pushing chemo drugs that only replicate what cannabinoids do naturally?

Would you even suggest the OP combine cannabinoids with conventional therapy?

You have a science background so even though you have clearly been biased towards pharmaceutical drugs - given your history - you should still be bound ultimately to the science and what works. You seem to almost be implying that Rick Simpson is some type of a scammer, that all the supporters of cannabis oil are in on it and those who HAVE been treated successfully are delusional - and i don't understand why you have such a bias. Do you think Tommy Chong was silly for foregoing conventional treatments, in favor of "alternative" therapy? No peer reviewed study... He must have been lucky?

I'm not anti western or this or that. As with many who have not only lost friends to cancer, but actually lived through it themselves, i am convinced that there are major shortcomings within the field. Again, the poor efficacy of chemo/radiation is very public and i shouldn't have to find it for you.

Certain aspects, like analytical and diagnosis, the mainstream medical field is awesome. Acute/emergency situations too. But for chronic degenerative diseases, their track record is horrible.

We can agree to disagree. This is becoming inappropriate for this thread and for the forum itself.

The science and history available today shows that you'd be a damn fool to exclude cannabinoids from a cancer protocol. I'm not saying conventional treatments should be completely discarded... But people need to know what their options are.

Having already ran the conventional cancer treatment gamut once... I would not trust my life solely to chemo/radiation for treatment. Again, i would begin implementing these "alternative" protocol immediately regardless of which route was chosen.

    OP:
Best of luck, stay positive and focused on the reality that you can overcome this. It's the single most important factor to beating cancer, it all starts in the mind.

When i went under for my surgery... They had me on the OP table and were setting up their tools. We talked casually but in my mind i was just hoping to wake up - I'd never been put under before. They applied the mask then asked me a few questions.... Sleepy time!

I woke up hours later in a hospital bed, with a catheter jammed up my dong and a tube down my throat. Couldn't remember a thing , thankfully and the morphine was running strong. But you're just getting a biopsy, easy peasy!

Stay strong OP. Start protocol asap because your body will need the help whichever route you go. One of the most important research accomplishments around cannabis involves the now understood fact that it greatly eliminates oxidative stress, let alone the modulatory effects via the endo c system.

  4. I'm surprised how many people are proponents of chemo/radiation. My dad was diagnosed with stomach cancer and died within 18 months at the hands of some of the best specialists at U of M and MD Anderson. He even underwent surgery, chemo and radiation which did nothing for him except destroy the quality of his life faster. Had I known about any of this back then I would have encouraged him to go this route.

Best of luck to you. Sending you healing vibes!💖

  5. So had the biopsy at about 11:45 and everything went great. Anesthesia was pretty cool I might say

Anyway the surgeon firstly removed what he thought was a lymph node, turns out it was a salivary gland which aren't supposed to be under your neck, he told my parents who came with me and genuinely was astonished at the fact I have swollen salivary glands in my throat

So he made another incision and removed an actual lymph node.

I should know the results by the end of the week

  6. I bet you're glad it's over.  I hope they get back with you soon.  Waiting sucks.

I skimmed parts and "The Doctor Within" presents a very naive understanding of cancer and cancer therapy and how the body works.  I checked a couple of his references and they're bunk.  I couldn't find some of them one was to a book somebody was trying to hawk or the title of the article gave me no reason to read on.  The good "doctor" skimmed over his actual qualifications lol.  If people think this is accurate, there is little wonder they believe in cancer conspiracies and that pot is the cure for everything.  I'll read the whole thing more carefully when I have a chance but right now I give it 30% credibility.
I agree, this isn't the place for this nd I'm not going to respond tit-for-tat.  I've already answered most of the questions you asked.  Re-read my posts in this thread and if you still have those questions and they're not just rhetorical musings, send me a private message or start a new thread and I'll be glad to answer them for you.

  7. Sending positive vibes..keep us posted!

Thanks! Still just got bandages on my neck

The one to the side is where they removed a salivary gland and hurts! I think cause of the big ass neck muscle (sternocleidomastoid) flexes and hurts the incision

The one in the middle was the lymph node and don't really hurt that much

Gettin to sleep in a comfy position sucked last night, but after i smoked a bowl I got tired so that helped.

Not sure when I'll hear back, hopefully by Friday , I'll be sure to let y'all know!

Alright so yesterday I found out I'm cancer free!!! The lymph node showed no malignancy or growth of other bacteria.

But still brings me back to square one: what is this?

    I still have weird symptoms

Symptoms: swollen lymph nodes around neck, night sweats 2-3x a week, and I've lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks (unintentionally)

I have to see a specialist for infectious diseases (sounds fun!) In a couple weeks to see if the nodes haven't subsided from previous antibiotics.

But I still don't know what's wrong with me!!! :(

  12. Are you in the Seattle area?  Because I read your latest post to my dad, and he said, "sounds like they don't know what they're doing.  Send him to Paul Brown on First Hill"

  13. I'm glad you don't have to deal with lymphoma but I know it's a drag not knowing.  I'm sure they've checked these but in case they haven't, I would have them check your glucose level and do a thyroid panel (T3, T4, TSH).  Best of luck.

  14. Yup I'm sea that's where I've been seeing my doc. I'll check him out

  15. I have done both a 48 week pegylated interferon with ribavirin chemo regimen, when they "first" approved Pegintron for hcv. The chemo failed, and (apparently [according to a massive class action suit] so far since the failed chemo, I have developed a tumor i my pancreas and a large mass in my lung, years apart. Though the pancreatic tumor [4 cm.] completely disappeared from the neck of the pancreas and resolved with no further tumors using 1/2 gram "ethanol = grain alchohol RSO extract b.i.d. in 120 days though I continued 180. Last September I developed pneumonia, and they found a mass growth in right lung, and cancer cells in sputum. I went on 1-1.5 grams of Holy Annointing Oil.  The lung mass is shrinking rapidly, and though last year (chemo caused diabetes too) I was developing the characteristic "feathering" of diabetic neuropathy, This year, a week ago they did a dilated eye exam with retinal photography and the retinopathy is totally reversed..

Unfortunately, a few years after the chemo I developed "thrush" on my tongue following having all but 7 of my teeth pulled from the gum decay caused by the chemo, and lost my doctor 9though if I liked my doctor I could keep my doctor...lol) in 2009. The one I have finally prescribed Diflucan, after learning the denturist had already prescribed a nystatin-swish, followed by clotrimazole tablets that also failed. When the Diflucan failed as well, an infectious disease doctor told him to test me for HIV.When that came back negative from 2 Infectious Disease docs I never even saw got negative results and that was the last of that. I asked him to run a full yeast/fungal screening, which was never done. The drug-resistant nature of this "untreated thrush" just ignored for the past 5 years has progressed into cachexic nutritional malabsorption. I have lost nearly 12 pounds a month from 220 to 154.5 last Friday.

Ever since I lost the doctor who had been our family doctor for so long,  HIS father was our doc till he retired at 85, and I got stuck with this clinic, then locked in through a contract of adhesion, upon researching the protocols of all the treatments I have been given, they have all been diametrically opposite what is supposed to be being done, and those protocols governing what he should have but did not do, are just as baffling and deadly. Since the underlying cause spefically matches the progression of a localized oral fungal infection from thrush, to burning tongue, to thick fur, with deep cracks and mychorrizae digging deeper into the flesh, dissolving the taste buds with lesions on the tongue to upper palate, then respiratory/ then gastro-intestonal involvement, urinary and bowel urgency even waking up with putty-like diarrhea. But from what I've researched, there have yet to be plants with isolated and hybridized for CBG/CBD ingestable oils..Due to lean muscle loss I can't even smoke oils any more...i could rupture a lung! This "wasting syndrome" seriously sucks, but I wanted to say way back in post  #11, that was some very good info. I'll pray for you.

Didn't used to believe much in all that, till a friend challenged me to pray every single night, all alone for God to prove He was real and listening.  He told me it was okay to tell God I wasn't any good with "Doves flying over my left shoulder a rustling sound in the leaves, that  I needed to KNOW. After the first week or so I told him this was stupid, and he reminded me I promised 30 days, and it was okay to get mad as hell and demand an answer!  Get mad, tell Him you need it!  I kept on, felling dumber and ore gullible by the day till I finally did get pissed and "demanded some proof if You're really there!"  I will NEVER deny the existence of God again. Too personal and too scary to go through, but as a former doubter turned believer, I offer my prayers that God grant you the discernment to know what is best for you, and that He make the answers that ring true in your heart stand out  on this thread and Lead you to whatever path You need. Selah.

^look into oil pulling for mouth help. Should clear that right up for ya, also look into a quality vaporizer. Great for lung cancer since the tumors come in direct contact with the vapor

  17. Something to remember when reading all the 'literature' and 'research results' is that for a treatment of cancer to be considered a success a patient only has to survive 10 weeks after treatment (could be less now but back in the 70's when I worked at a cancer hospital as I recall that was the number) for it to be considered a 'success'. The patient could have been on life support or whatever else but, the treatement was/is considered a success if the patient doesn't die within that timeperiod. BTW, I'm not a chemist or doctor but I do have 2 degrees in nutritution (along with others) and would encourage everyone to read much deeper into anything they are taking as conclusive when dealing with their health. Kind Regards.

DUDE.  You are very very wrong.  Dangerously so.  That is not anywhere near the case.  Do you even science, bro?
