NSA used the same bug that attacked this website.

Sorry, should have used the word "affected" rather than "attacked," although there's not much difference. If the flaw compromised the security of this site then the site was technically attacked.

Either way I just thought I'd post for people who were interested.

Nope it was technically not attacked, and also the phrasing "this website" implies as we were the only one vulnerable, whereas virtually the entire Internet was and is shaking on it grounds because of this, as your article well puts.

What I'm saying is that your article and phrasing implies that grasscity specifically was affected by heartbleed, and that is not the case, I think honestly everybody you should seriously consider changing all his passwords on any site where he has personal information stored, being it gmail, dropbox, facebook , and yes grasscity........  And that we as a community must inform the people as much as possible about this. Also this will not be the last time such a breach will occur. Hopefully it will make people aware about the risk an open Internet is and that we are all responsible for the security of the Internet.

We will here a lot about heartbleed in the Media these coming weeks and months, as it seems this issue will be around for a decade, as it is affecting routers and hardware as well , in our homes, offices and public spaces were we all rely on to have secure and private access to the internet. Educate yourself, and than educate your fellow blades.

    Peace and surf safe!

It is like a contractor installing a high tech door lock.
2 years later it comes to light that there is an easy way to bypass the lock.
    You install the fix.

Was your house under attack or did you simply have a vulnerability but no evidence of an intruder/breach?

Your OP was a good article and I thank you for that. NSA fucked up by not reporting it to the white hats. :smoke:
