My oil is in the purge now and its not bubbling at all. It was dissolved into 99% iso then purged for 1-2 hrs at 90 degree heat Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
seeing as alcohol boils at around 160F+, a couple hours at 90 is not enough, I dont know where you got the idea it would be looks like you arent vac purging, you shouldnt have scraped if its not purged. I wouldve let that dish sit there for like 3 days before scraping
Oh. My mistake. So boil it higher. And for longer. Let the purging begin Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
doesnt have to be too much higher or you'll sacrifice some flavor. hows the flavor anyway? If its not necessarily too flavorful, I would bump up the temps higher to make sure its purged. try to be around 110-120
Its at 116F atm. But ive been hearing that under 29.9 inhg that the temp raises 30F? Is that true? Because the base of my chamber is 116. Which means it would be 146 under full vacuum? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
Oh I thought you were just heat purging. The temperature doesnt raise under vacuum, the boiling points of the compounds you extracted are reduced. Your temps are fine right now for purging alcohol under vacuum
How long should i vac purge at 116F for? It still bubbles abit Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
multiple hours. when it stops bubbling, flip the slab over and continue purging. you should probably repeat that process a few times
Its sooo shattery though! I dont know why. I cant even get a dab out. It shatters. Should i add more heat to wax it up? Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
