Anyone use screens for bowls or bongs? Yesterday was the first time I never used a screen and didn't grind and got completely fucked up and probably the highest I ever have been. I like screens just because you don't get those Scooby snacks that way and also I believe since weed doesn't fall Into the piece it also makes it a little easier to keep clean. But that's cause I always grind up my weed I hear that there's more that way rather than just sparking up a nug. For the type of screen I really don't know the difference and I also just got glass screens cause I heard they work pretty well also

The screen lets you hit the piece harder, avoids ash in the mouth (scoobie snacks) and it lets you pack the bowl nice and tight.
If you put a metal screen in your glass pipe, you may as well be using a metal pipe. You can spin it however you want, I'll take scooby snacks all day, this is real talk. Learning to pack and smoke a bowl properly is something I enjoy. Loling at the guy in my imagination smoking metal from a five thousand dollar bong.
The little glass screens are cool for a glass bowl if the hole is way to big. Otherwise, get the metal screens. Smoke shops sell "silver screens", which burn a hole after one or two bowls. The superior ones are the "steel" screens, which you can also find if you choose to dissect the faucet in your bathroom

I would want a glass screen but I don't have one. Only certain bowls/slides need a screen IMO, i have one bowl that you can't smoke without one, and another that you can't fit one in

Brass is always the preferred alloy when you are trying to keep debris out of your glass pipe – I always do the same thing – I believe it is what these guys http://www.bwire.com call a 100 x 100 mesh - lets virtually nothing through it. THis means that in every inch of material - there is 100 openings and 100 wires. The wires are woven together to form the screen. Not pricey at all - can often be found at home depot hardware stores, or hobby shops.
Never have used screens and never will, I much prefer the method of putting a small nug to block the hole and then pack ground up weed over that
