Sexually active girls are like dirty pieces of chocolate? That's the message high school students are reportedly receiving in Oxford, Miss., after the school district adopted a sex ed curriculum that "called on students to unwrap a piece of chocolate, pass it around class and observe how dirty it became," according to the Los Angeles Times. That's right, teachers in this district are teaching young women that having sex makes you germy, unappetizing and imminently disposable.

In light of Mississippi's abominable sexual health indicators - it has the second highest rate of teen pregnancies, the second highest rates of gonorrhea and chlamydia infections, and the seventh highest rate of HIV infections - the state recently implemented legislation requiring sexual education classes.

As the Oxford example illustrates, however, this doesn't mean schools are teaching comprehensive, medically accurate sex ed. Instead, state districts must choose between abstinence-only programs and "abstinence-plus" programs that urge abstinence but also teach about contraception. And whichever version districts choose, teachers must teach that homosexual activity is technically illegal in Mississippi.

Unfortunately, the Magnolia state isn't alone in its abstinence-preferred, sex-shaming "educational" approach. For years, the federal government has poured millions upon millions of taxpayer dollars into abstinence-only programs that not only spread inaccurate messages (like sexual activity outside of marriage is likely to have harmful social, psychological and physical effects), but are also ineffective.

Honestly? If I'm a girl and I have sex I'm a dirty piece of chocolate? I'm a used "thing" I'm a detestable "object"? This has been taught to someone's kids? It's getting ridiculous how high school health programs seem to teach sex-ed by presuming that abstinence should be the only choice a teen makes. Not to mention the analogies made here are absolutely freaking ridiculous...no one wants a dirty used toothbrush or piece of candy? Is it perfectly fine for a man to be that "dirty used toothbrush"? Who the hell is the man supposed to be having sex with if women shouldn't have sex until marriage and homosexuality is wrong?

    Boop.

Unfortunately this is not true hygienically. Penis" actually do have less of a chance of having problems relating to being unwrapped. You're still a whore though.

  14. What? STD are passed through bodily fluids right?

Yes but due to the fact that the penis is an external appendage and it's fluids go outwards instead of receiving them, it is scientifically less likely that a boy get stds then a girl when sleeping with a dirty person. Like there's a chance as a guy that you could sleep with someone with aids an not get it whereas if you're a girl in the same situation there is almost no chance you will not contract it.

I believe it's the own person's responsibility when it comes to them and sex. We should all stay outa their business honestly. If there's a girl that wants to be a slut and blow 10 guys in a night, that was her choice, why shoul we try to brainwash and manipulate the person's mind into doing what we want them to do and how we want them to act.

Someone's sexual desires are what they want so stop trying to tell them what's right and wrong. If a guy wants to fuck 10 girls after another dude just fucked the 10 girls let him it's is own desires and responsibility to think of if he carry out his own sexual desires. Bottom line, we should all stop giving a shit about other people's lives. Just because two people have kids at 15 doesn't mean we should yell we should help them if they need help.

No ones perfect so stop getting in other people's business when you have problems too.
