It's the opposite of the horror movies, instead of the black guy dying first, they just killed off the only white guy in the entire show lol

  5. Enough said.

    everythings but an illusion

  6. yeah, theres really no way that one was working without keeping the cast...or ya know, watchable writing.

  7. The last 9 years of 2 and a half men.

  8. The Winner.

  9. Everything with a laugh track. I just can't get past it.

  10. absolutely, although i still consider seinfeld the most rewatchable show ever. its a special quality that ive only found elsewhere in its always sunny. i can (and have, many times) watched the entire series of both straight through and when its over instantly repeat the process.

  11. The only good one today is "Last Man Standing," with Tim Allen on ABC. His wife and oldest daughter are fun to look at.

    Tim and "wife:"

I still watch Seinfeld every night, and have seen every episode countless times. I know what's going to happen in every scene, but I still watch.

isnt it crazy? i wouldnt even say its an amazing show. 7.5/10. i like it, but there are shows i love with a passion (futurama comes to mind, although i can literally recite every word of both show AND commentary...its kinda sad really) that i just dont find as rewatchable.

i have spent years trying to distinguish what gives a show that rewatchable quality. i cant. the jokes, acting, plots, etc. arent anything special on their own. theres no real reason the show should have that quality.....except the group dynamic. both seinfeld and always sunny have an amazing group dynamic, and thats what i have to attribute it to....but there are other shows with great dynamic that just dont compare.

  14. modern family and anything else on TBS are horrible, and abc and NBC. I hate that they stopped the V remake a few years back. it was great. way better than the original, and the effects were amazing

  15. but v doesn't count as a sitcom... damn I'm high lol. well 2 an a half men went to shit once make started growing up and learning adult things. he was funny as an ignorant little kid. now he's... not lol.

hmmm. I guess the Simpsons would count. they need to give up. it's old and boring. I never liked the Simpsons though. family guy, American dad, South Park and futurama are my favorites animated "sitcoms" if you can call them that

  16. Seinfeld is pretty good. I still get a good laugh or two when I watch it. old but gold.

sorry for the triple post! -_-

  17. i havent had access since season 4? maybe 5....but modern family is pretty damn good imo. the last season i watched was starting to slip in character dynamic though. iirc they had to invent reasons for alex to stay on and not go to college. or go to local college or something, when your show has to seriously alter logical character development it ruins it.

i used to enjoy (s1/2), but now absolutely detest the big bang theory for the same reason. it started off pretty good, sitcom with a nerdy aspect. obviously the characters werent written as real people of the same caliber, but it was still acceptable. then they heavily introduced the girls and it became "nerdy friends" where the nerds dont even speak intelligently. one character (afaik, still) has to be drunk 100% of the time he talks to women. which is virtually every episode. when he never drank a drop before the need to interact with women. after viewing the original pilot (way different from the final version) i now think that "nerdy friends" was the goal all along really and the first couple seasons were simply quality buildup.

That is the key, IMO. It's like the Beatles or other great historic bands. Everything just fell into place perfectly. You cannot assemble these things, you cannot plan them out -- they just happen.

To whoever brought up "Modern Family:" I do watch it sometimes but only because Sofia Vergera is so hot. Aside from "Al Bundy" being the husband, I don't know anything about the show. The bitches rule my life.

  19. Modern Family is pretty funny. Just kinda got into it, I'll watch it if nothing else is on haha. The gay couple is the best.

  20. According to Jim has to be one of the worst shows of all time.

How can anyone call Modern Family horrible? I understand simply not liking it, but "horrible"
