  1. at long last, the time has come  :smoking:

"Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley (D) said Monday that he will sign a bill decriminalizing possession of small amounts of marijuana.
On a 34-to-8 vote, the Senate gave final approval to the legislation Monday afternoon. The bill would impose only civil fines, rather than criminal sanctions, on those caught with less than 10 grams of the drug."

  3. This was great news! It was time we got some action on this side of the country.

  4. Takes effect October 1st, O'Malley signed it! I am happy to hear greater concern for violent crimes. It is definitely a step in the right direction, in my opinion. However, there are a lot of details to be worked out in just a few months.

I look forward to reading future news stories on the topic! Love when there is positive news
