Dealing with sweating?

Discussion in 'Fitness, Health & Nutrition' started by BluntBurner_Turner, Apr 8, 2014.

  1. I've been an excessive sweater since middle school. It sucks not being able to control this. Sometimes it doesn't even matter if it's cold. The main spots are my forehead, nose, and armpits, and hands sometimes.

Certain dry helps a little for the pits but I sweat in awkward situations, or even just casual chilling. Anxiety leads to it sometimes but not always, most times it's randomly triggered and I'm just like fuck. I like wearing hoodies because don't have to worry about showing the perspiration.

It's not gross sweat like I'm just dripping wet at all times. It's just pits and sweating different places here and there throughout the day. But it's definitely not normal, I've met a couple excessive sweaters so I know I'm not alone.

It's something I've just grown to accept until I can seek a medical cure of some sort. Anyone here have this problem or can relate?

  2. Ya I sweat a TON on my nose. People are always giving me shit because of it lol

Like 60 degrees outside and I'm sitting on my couch watching TV but I'll still break a sweat on my nose..

Sure it's got something to do with my unhealthy diet

Sweating is healthy is a way. Just read the post above me and I wouldn't blame it on a diet unless your 300lbs.

I sweat bad when I exercise but I just need to drink more water.

I am very skinny too and I think that sweat has to do with anxiety a lil.

I got rid of all my white clothes and switched to black undershirts. That would help a lot and will keep you cool instead of a hoody. & carry a hand towel with you on hot day. People understand when you try to control it.

And a doctor will tell you that its natural to sweat. A doctor will tell you that you have to live with that problem until you are old. It is actually good advice from the doctor I asked about my sweat. She also said just drink more water.

  4. same here. ill just be chilling and all of a sudden ill feel a few drips from my armpits. its weird

  5. my hands feet and armpits DRIP all day... Its fucking annoying, goddamn embarrassing too.. cant hug a girl, or shake a mans hand.

I suffer from a central nervous disorder and generalized anxiety and also my caffeine intake would kill a rhino, coffee def doesnt help lol

  6. I'm no doctor, but If I were you I would check your thyroids for any imbalances.

I used to have the exact same problem for years and it was literally one of the biggest problems in my life and I feel like I have finally moved past it.

First of all certain dry worked ok but I got a prescription for dry sol (dunno if thats spelled exactly right) made by a company called hypercare...this completely stopped my unnecessary armpit sweat.

But the most important thing is to realize it's an anxiety thing, its starts off as a small problem and you stress out about it and worry so much about it that it makes it into a big problem.. I did research online and the most important thing to realize is that SWEAT IS NORMAL... when you start to sweat a little bit who gives a fuck? if you start to get worked up take deep breaths and realize its not a big deal and it will go away so much faster then if you worry about..

do more research into that, plus meditation and breathing techniques and I guarantee it will help you out, good luck @[member="BluntBurner_Turner"]

edit: also @[member="moreherb"] @[member="quedlife"] @[member="fissionchips"] might help you guys out as well

  8. I can't help you out unfortunately, but I know how it feels to get the anxiety sweats. The last two times I went to the grocery store, I was super anxious, and the line was really long. As I was walking out of the store both times, I could feel that my forehead was covered in sweat.

  9. Just call it no worries and embrace it.

Aussies are experts at this, take my advice.

  10. it's something i've dealt with for as long as i can remember, i've pretty much sorted it out over my old age unless something stops me from being able to use my regiment..

for me...  obviously the herb, if i run out my pits sweat, ALOT... it's horrible, it's embarassing, i can sweat thru two tshirts in like 20 mins no joke, and it's the coldest, strangest like saltiest nervous sweat ever, im sure you know what i'm talking about.... smoking pot almost completely cures it....

i have anxiety really bad only sometimes as well, it's like real anxiety, the kind that you really need a med for, a full blown panic attack is rare for me, but has happened... most of the time it's just extreme anxiety over stupid things, like.... say, going into work.. or going into a gas station, basically situations where i'll be forced to communicate with another person, which is so strange because i'm actually a really friendly person, and like communicating with all kinds of people, learning about other cultures when i get the chance, etc...but not when i'm having an anxiety day... those days, its hard to walk through a door into my job, it's torture to talk to ANYONE outside of my immediate family (they are excluded for some reason, it's strange, but true) and on those days, even the pot doesn't stop the sweat... armpits again, every time, and strangely feet!!

the cure is, pot daily, that works as a general anxiety med for me, and controls it probably 70 percent of the time.. and for the bad days, i take 2mg of clonazepam (klonopin) that fixes it every time.  it's an addictive med so i only use it when i need to, i also have a prescription for 2mx alprazolam (xanax) which is for when i'm about to have a panic attack... i very rarely need to take those (ya know unless im partying teehee)

  11. Whenever I take a big bong rip or a dab I sweat a little bit.

  12. when i have a coughing fit after a irresponsibly massive rip, i sweat.

also i have bad night sweats sometimes.

    and my hands sweat.

    fucking shit.

  13. I actually have the totally opposite problem. I can be mowing my lawn for 2 hours in 90 degree heat and not break a sweat at all. Or I could be at the gym working out the whole time and nothin', The only time I seem to sweat a lot is during sex. I get soaked during sex. I mean both of my arms and legs, the WHOLE THINGS, will be soaked like I just got out of a pool. Thats the only time though.

  14. My feet stank like sumo wrestler jock strap.

  16. Learn to laugh about it and just don't give a fuck what people might or might not think

  17. My hands are always sweating like crazy. It would be okay if not for the greasing on everything I touch.

Ya man hyperhidrosis sucks!  My hands bother me the most, and it's def anxiety driven.  Diet and exercise worked the best for me.  Still have it but it doesn't bother me as much day to day, but things like job interviews are no fun.

Like most things in life, not giving a fuck what others think is the best solution.

I sweat a lot from my hands. It is from anxiety like others have mentioned. I used to have a lot bigger issues with sweating though, I used to be obese at like 400 lbs out of high school, and I'd have trouble doing anything without breaking out in a sweat everywhere.

I lost a ton of weight though, I went from 400 to 240 in about a year and a half or so. For a while I kept trying to lose more and more, but it kind of plateaued. Now I hover around 200-220 lbs at 6'2" and I feel so much better. I can move around and do all sorts of physical stuff without getting tired out. I enjoy physically exerting myself now, the feeling is invigorating, whereas before I would loathe moving at all. Seriously I'd be like sitting down stationary and still be sweating.

Don't be fat it's no fun. Feels good to lose the weight though, and I stopped having the issue with sweating too much. Now the only time I have excessive sweating is when I get anxious my palms get a bit sweaty but nothing like it was used too. Only downside to going from super fat to not super fat is now I have a bunch of extra skin its nasty. Whatever rather that than a heart attack at 30.

EDIT: also I can vouch that it's way harder to grow good weed when you are heavier since doing stuff like transplanting a plant was a huge challenge.

  20. Anxiety is a shitty thing.  It works subconsciously as well.

Panic attacks can happen to someone who is totally normal one second and the next they're whole body freezes up, mind races, and feel like they're bout to die.

From the way you described it, I'm guessing the culprit is anxiety.

If not, a hormonal imbalance.  Go to the doc.
