Panic attacks when I smoke?

  1. Hey everyone I'm new to the forum, and I have a big problem... I was a daily smoker for 2 1/2 years and I enjoyed it very much, and without having even the slightest amount of paranoia. But a few months back after my 1st criminal offense ( simple possestion) I came home and smoked a bowl by myself to unwind and relax. After I put everything up I went to lay down, and got a horrific feeling of dread. So I stood up and went to the kitchen to get some water thinking it would help. After that I laid down of my couch and turned on the t.v to try and get outa my head but the feeling continued! It got worse when I realized I couldn't focus on anything, and there was a deep purple shadow covering my vision. I either fell asleep or blacked out but the next morning I still didn't feel right. I had never had anxiety or panic attacks before but for a month after they were a daily thing, even if I didn't smoke. And when I tried smoking again I got the same terrible effect! I have tried everything from smoking only small amounts or with friends but it always results the same. I stopped smoking awhile back because of this. Has any one else experienced this? Found out how to recover? Any help or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

  3. I have a few friends who 'got the fear' man, they gave up in the end :(

  4. It all depends on the person I guess. I've experienced deep, strange feelings of fear when high before. But I'm usually able to distract myself by talking to someone, whether on the phone or in person, either way is good.

I'm not sure if you've ever tried smoking with someone else and have still gotten a panic attack.

Hope that I could help a bit and hope that you feel better soon!

  5. Cball? Propaganda. You say you never had this panic-anxiety attack but then state you stopped smoking previously because of it.
