Mickey Rooney R.I.P.

    My favorite actor, Mickey Rooney, has died.  He did everything from the vaudeville stage, silent films, hugely successful Hollywood films, radio, TV, Broadway, and during lean times worked at parties.  Other than Marlon Brando, who was in a category by himself,  I can't think of any American actor that was as talented as "The Mick".  
     
    Incidentally, Rooney was not Irish, although he is often thought of as a person of Irish heritage.  His father was Scottish, and Mickey's original name was Joe Yule, Jr.
