My lady is about day 4 or 5 days into flowering and has grown about 5inches since starting to flower. Unfortunately shes outgrowing her space. Shes gonna start touching her lights which I know will burn her if shes too close. She was originally suppose to be a micro grow but seems to be a little bigger than a foot. Shes an auto in a 10.10L pot. Is there a way to stop her upward growth?

  2. if you have lights that give seperate spectrums i would of said keep the veg light on it for first 2weeks of flower!

  3. Haven't changed lights at all. Same lights she vegged in

  4. what i ment was i use cfl and i have one in veg spectrum and one in flower spectrum so if i leave the veg light in for first two weeks of flower it keeps it shorter by about 6-12inch.

  5. The light sheduel can be worked out

Auto can naturally get 24 hrs of light in there native location thing is the plants not pure bred its a hybrid. Any way
studies showed that plans given 24hrz of light would be oknbut there photosynthsis would slow down or stop arounf the 20 hr mark for a few hours then return
    Ive tried this things
    And came up with this

If ya rooms cold abd the only way to heat is using electric you may as well use ya light so go 24/0
But i wouldnt do 24/0 cause its a waste of energy

20/4 is for ya sativa dom plants keeps them nice and short but gives that dark period so they can rest after all we all need to sleep so do plants

18/6 id use if a you wanna keep leccy low and temps causeing issue( too hot ) have it off between 12am to 6 pm (hottest part of day) other time i may use 18/6 is for indica dominant autos.

As for yeild there not a great difference i get bit more with 20/4 and the plants love it.

To the dude who plant was leggy this wasnt down to.light time may have been a few reasons

    Temps hum
    Lights
    Strain
Pheno type ( most likely cause)
    Spectrum of light
    Distance from the light.

    Hope this helps
I found plants do better under 20/4 there are processes (especially in flower) which go on at night.

  6. lst is ya best bet bent the top away from the light.
Change to a bluer light untillnthe end of stetch and keep the light as close as poss.

Redder light will cause them to elongate

  9. Think the phones having a hissy fit ,cheers loki ,i wouldn't give a definative from one observation, but my instinct tells me temperature drop has an impact on stretch,as I have grown these strains many times and pick them for their response to my slipshod aproach to growing. Further inspection seems to suggest a distinct yellowing of the leaf tips on my latest grow. I suspect to see more problems as time passes so I have put 3 Joint Doctor pips into soak,(2 Diesel and 1 Easyryder) in case of stunting, hey ho! These things are sent to try us. AAS

  10. I was thinking lst and then I read not to lst while in flowering. Might be my only bet though. I figure it should be okay since its so new into flowering

Yeah your early so id go ahead and lst it better than burning her cause that will cause alot of stress.

    Alone and strange
    I think
Lower temps would cause less growth so shorter plants high temps can cause tall plants.

Makes sense as a short thick plant will keep the plant warm and out the wind where as a tall plant would be able to get the wind and can rid heat cause the foliage isnt as thick.

  13. Hey Loki, Mate I need your help. So this is the first time I've ever grown and Auto basically. OK, First, I know your not supposed to transplant but I'm amazing at it and I dont even get stunt from any plants I transplant but I didnt mean to do it this time.

OK so there was basically no stunt. Anyways, I've only watered this baby once in the 5gal container 2 weeks ago. She popped her head above soil Dec. 29 or so. She's almost dry now and I'm not sure what to feed her. The watering two weeks ago was with no nutes. I have Botanicare PBP line. Its now Jan. 28 so she's almost a month old, should I feed her alittle grow and alittle bloom? What strength per gal would you recommend 5ml per gal grow and 5ml bloom? Or just one? Or both? I'm lost bro. She has been spitting out pistils for a week now, so I know she's budding. I'm also worried about how small she is, should she be bigger? Do autos continue to grow while budding? If so is there a round about time you notice the stretch is done? Here's photo's, sorry for the questions bomb!

She is the one on the left in the group photo. She has been slightly LST'd to allow lower branching to even the canopy alittle later. I know you have the info that I asked for somewhere in this thread but please try to help me out cause I didn't have time to go through the 500 pages lol. I'll be looking out on here. Thanks man

  17. Hey guys, I had a general question about the Mars 2 LED. I'm looking to buy one really soon and I currently have a 4x4 tent. I did ask Sara, and she gave me her peace, but I just wanna hear from you guys, 700w or 900w? I may want to expand and add another or multiple at a later time to a larger area and would like to buy one and stick with the same wattage throughout the expansion. Your thoughts?

  18. 900w IMO

Sounds like you can afford both, and if you can keep the temps down your plants will love the extra 200w's :p
