Cold beans

i alsways use veg nutes on Autos untill all vertical growth stops. Best way for a bigger yield. Around day 38-42 i switch to flower nutes.

 

Day 34 on these Mephisto Genetics Autoflower Test Beans

 

Yeah veg nutes should stop after the stretch period in flower, (the first 1-2ish)
Then as soon as the stretch period has finished I go onto bloom since no or very little nitrogen is required.

Here's a picture of my first indoor grow ever.  It's a white widow autoflower.  As you can see, the plant grew a little too close to the LED light (I was away from home for about 3 weeks).
 
Should I trim off this dried, brown part of the top bud or just leave it alone?  I think this plant has at least a week to go.  A lot of white hairs and trichomes still pretty milky.

Was there back in 98 but cant recall what strains we tried out these days. Do still recall the first shop we stopped at, it was the closest one to the hotel we stayed in and we were hanging for some smoke as Amsterdam was the end of a holiday that was 5 weeks in the US beforehand.
 
The shop was the mellow yellow coffee shop and i still remember there being a juke box with the doors playing at the time. Bit of a doors fan here..   Pretty easy to spot we were tourists, everyone smokes spliffs over there but i asked to borrow a pipe to smoke me herbs in that shop.. :lol:

 

I had to edit that post this morning.. Old age had me put in 96 instead of 98.. I'll blame it on the age thing anyway..
 
Ok, question for anyone growing in a tall pot. The lil cheese got a drink 5 days ago and the soil feels dry when ya stick ya finger in the top now but this pot she's in is a tad over 400mm tall or 16" if you like inches so things are probably fine down deeper.. Wondering if i should give her another drink or let her go a bit longer? Just don't wanna do what i did with the poor bb and let her dry out too much and i did that for sure with her. Of course i don't wanna go and over water this one either so should i water or not?

 

Lift the pot.
Does it feel quite light? if so water
Then feel your pot again and remeber this rough weight.
 
Lifting the pots imo is better way to guage than stickign ya finger in soil beacuse the top layer allways dries off first since its open to the light and heat and airmovement.
 
As long as you have adaquete drainage and airiation then it will be very hard to over water your plant.

Headchef, that's how i knew i let the bb dry out too much.. When i picked up the pot it was so fucking light i couldn't believe it. Was a case of not taking into account she was drinking that much more as she was into her flowering a good bit and i guess just bigger overall.. Don't wanna do that again.
 
I'll do that though and pick up the pot and see how it feels. It had a bit of weight about it when she was watered last time so it'll be a good indication to how things are now.  
 
I'd prefer i keep things right but if i'm gonna stuff up i'd prefer that i've over watered than the other side again.

 

The pot seems a fair bit lighter from what i recall so i'm gonna give her a feed.. Switching to the flores and will up things to 1/2 dosage now.
Also going to use tap water that i've been aerating for a few days now. Chlorine should be gone by now.
 
Maybe i've been reading too much or just not taking things in properly as normal. I think i read there are things in tap water that are good for our girls which i don't get from my rainwater that i've been feeding mine?

 

Couldn't tell ya what ours is like but ya can drink it....apparently.

 

Morning Loki, im germing my seed in a cup of water and Rhizotonic as i type.. i couldnt wait for the carbon to show up plus its a RQS NL seed. Still playing catch up this thread, 300odd pages is a long old read n im only at 103! Right i downloaded the oldtimers feeding schedule. I'm aware i just given plain water + root stim first 14days. 'grow' during stretch then onto 'bloom' til i flush. im a little confused when it comes to
1.) Do i need to feed molasses automatically? or only if i get a deficiency? and how often? (ive got your recipe 150ml hot+cold water +10tsps molasses in a fizzy bottle).
2.) Same with cal mag, do i add it because i'm under led? if so when and how often.. or do i wait for deficiencies to show first?
3.) Also this might be a silly question, but can i mix it all up in one jug (eg molasses + bloom + silicone) or do some things need to be fed seperately? sorry for all the Questions
