  1. Hi
Been growing aero for a year now.
Now I have mastered that you need to keep your ec low.
But during flower ( never happens during grow) I get a slight leaf burn on tips.

Now I just don't know how low I can go safely.
I'm down to .9 and still get it lol
Obviously I need to up it from 4 the week onwards and honestly it does not affect the quality ;)
It's just really annoying I can't fix this hiccup.

    I use canna Flores
In fact I use canna from start to flush, and the boost

I grow under a 400 and 600 watt if anyone can give me any pointers if be gratefull.
Added few pics. I'm currently just starting 3rd week of flower.

  2. Bd, I run low ppm aero at 500ppm max. Don't know what that translates into ec but my well water is
600 ppm so I use ro water 0 ppm. If that was all the tip burn I got I would not worry about it just
keep a close eye on it you don't want it progressing. I just run low ppm and top of with nutes as
    needed. GL OG

  3. Thanks mate for the reply.
    Yea there looking sweet ;)

It's just something I'll need to keep an eye on.

  4. .

Being normal is accepting to be average

  5. What is in your water source or are you using distilled or demineralised water???
Plants absorb and lower tds as excrete unwanted nutes or toxins into your res and these can create a very fast spike in tds levels if you set your ppm low but there isn't enough room to allow for fluctuations and can do a number on your lovelies!

  6. Just tap water mate, I leave it overnight then add nutes, and set ph.

  7. +1 on the RO,
if you can run to waste that solves most, if not all, of the issues you get with a recirculated res.

  8. +1 ^

You need an RO setup in order to ensure that your plants are getting enough nutrients at <500ppm levels. Normal tap water from my experience eats up about 100ppm.

  9. If you run RO you will need to supplement calcium and magnesium. Commercial nutes are formulated to take account of the source water content, soft water nutes contain more Ca and Mg than a hard water nute. RO contains nothing so your nutes will come up short. Be aware that most calmag`s will add N and Fe as well as Ca and Mg. The good thing about RO is there`s no wildcards, you decide exactly what goes into it.
