  2. Fit proper ventilation.
Use as many bulbs as your ventilation will allow.
Keep your bulbs a couple of inches away from the surface of the leaves.
Give yourself as much height as you can.
Using a ScrOG screen really helps keep the plants close to the bulb.
    Go easy on the fertiliser.
Don't use pots that are too big.
Don't water the soil until its dried out properly, or even better go hydro

  3. I dont have a great knowledge with hydroponics, I havent really looked into it yet, as soon as I do a full room setup with hid lights, proper ventilation ect ect I will give it a go, but this is only an experiment for now.
Thanks for the advice man im going to make it bigger when the plants get bigger, why do you say not to use big pots?
I have just have a hole down the bottom for intake and I larger one at the top for hot stale air to come out, I have a larger 3 speed fan but I wont use it untill I open the full area up.
Im on the hunt for some good wiring devices I will hook more cfls up as the plants get bigger.
Oh and im growing a thc bomb auto fem and a seed of my mates genetics hes been working on :)
This is my box, Im currently only useing half the space will be opening it up when I work on it a bit more

  6. Large pots of soil take ages to dry out, wet soil loses oxygen fast and can suffocate the roots. Ideally you want the soil fully dry within 4 days, any longer and your roots won't thrive. Using lots of perlite 1 part perlite to 2 parts soil will help drain the soil so air can enter it easily is well worth doing. I start seeds in 3" pots and pot up 3 times before flowering.

What do you mean about the fans? You will need an exhaust fan sucking out hot air and pulling in cool air through some intake holes. You can have passive intake but a passive outtake isn't going to be enough I doubt. Fans inside circulating the air is very important for the plants to be able to transpire easily.

Your set up looks good man, how much height have you got? What wattage are those CFLs?

  7. Loving the setup, I'll be keeping an eye on this grow best of luck!

  8. The cfls are 25w= 120w ideally aas the plants get bigger I would like atleast 6 cfls but for now ill use 2 then ill hook a few more in a week or so. Havent got proper intake fans or anything as of yet I just have an intake hole and a outake hole with a small desktop fan which is circulating the air fairly well, I do have a 3 speed desktop fan which I will use when the plant/ plants get bigger, I will look into pot sizes before I decide what size, im getting some perlite tomorrow for when I mix up the soil. Im not sure what the exact hight is but its about 1m?
Thanks for the support guys, can someone help me with feeding them, should I use bottled nutrients or just let the organics do there work? Whats some good flowering nutes? I also have a guerilla grow nearly ready to harvest but this is my first indoor
Again thanks, keep giving me advice and toke on, PEACE! :)

  10. Nice grow bud!

I wholeheartedly agree with @[member="GoldGrower"] on the pot size. I potted straight to a big tub with no perlite and minimal drainage nearly to my detriment.

Small pots, plenty of drainage and air flow and keep stepping up; watch your roots flourish!

Will be watching this grow though, looks good.

  11. Yeah bro I will slowly put pot size up, what size would be reccomended when flowering?

  12. As big as you can fit them in, I started in a solo cup, going to transplant into a one gallon soon, then a three gallon for final, if I could fit a five gallon I would, bigger pot = more space for roots = happy, healthy and big plants. Good luck man.

  13. Thanks dude has anyone else grown the thc bomb auto?

  14. Day 14 of the thc bomb auto, it is doing well apart from something has been nibbling at it a little advice, should it be bigger for 14 days?

  15. They haven't changed much since day 5 man, there's definitely something wrong. Looks to me like it's a below ground problem. I'd guess that you have either been watering too often, or the soil has a too high concentration of nutrients in it. What soil is it? And how many times have you watered it?

  17. Its not the soil man, Its a seed and cutting raising soil by osmocote which I have always used with great results, I would say its the watering, I can only go to this place 1-2 times a week and I water on them days

  18.
As it gets warmer and needs more water use a plastic water bottle and poke a pin hole to slowly leak into the planter, a ghetto drip irrigation .

Here Is what my plants look like at 2 weeks in soil.

Now the huge pot was ridiculous. A common noob fuck up. too late now.

Lights, not enough or poorly placed. Clean water with no added bullshit will get it going.

  19. Ideally you need to water the soil on the day it needs it. If you are restricted to when you can visit them then you aren't going to get great results, you can only do what you can do. Perhaps next time you may want to try DWC? Once you get it dialled in you can leave it for a week. You do need a decent sized reservoir though

  20. i dont grow yet but a lot of people and weed grow websites say you should use white mylar paint instead of foil as its better at reflecting light and doesnt cause hotspots, i also remember a guy on here making reflectors for the cfls using beer or soda cans to make the most of the light
