I always wondered this and after months of forgetting about it I finally wanna ask some people. Before I turned 18 last November I had my junior driver license on long island NY. The restrictions are real strict and only allow driving alone to school/work and before 9pm. Thing is I drove for a year and a half normally with my own car and everything and never got caught (I desperately needed to for work, school, internships, and stuff like that before college but I managed to drive to other places pretty frequently too). Anyone else ever do this and not get caught? I know it was stupid but I've been driving my dad's car since I was 14, I'm a good driver for sure. I drove around with my DJ and got caught once and I wasn't even driving. I was pumping gas at hess at around 8:50 when a cop drove in and noticed the cracked windsheild. Wanted my license. Came back with a ticket and told me i couldn't drive home. I was like why??? She goes, its after 9. I was so far away from home and my mom would have killed me lol me and my two friends stayed at hess overnight. Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum

My wife was 16 before I was so she drove me around until i decided to get my license at 17. This happened in april and by the time the court date had come around I was given my class D because i turned 18 that may so the judge thew the ticket away. So stupid. It made me mad that it was a female cop that gave me the ticket too. Like why waste your time picking on a kid already paying $4.00 a gallon for gas and fuck with him for a minor crack in the windsheild. Bitch lol
I got my license back in '98 or '97. Before I got my license in NY I drove from about age 14 until 18 without a license or permit. I lived in a community with very little police presence. I never got pulled over before I got my license. In fact, once I got my license I felt like I could drive faster because there wasn't a risk of being caught without a license. I think the rules have changed since I first started driving so I don't think I would pull that now. If you're safe and obeying the rules you shouldn't have any worries (this is what I used to tell myself and apparently it worked).
Yea I drove with mine for a good 6 months. I used to take my moms ford escape out for joyrides before I even had my permit quite a few times... Tops of at about 85 and the gas pedal starts shakin. You'll be good if you drive responsible and don't draw attention to yourself.
