Soldering Irons

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by The_Doors_, Apr 3, 2014.

  1. Hey I've only been really smoking on about a 5 day a week basis for about a month now and have been wanting to get a new bong and use a soldering iron to use with it as I have only heard positive things about them. Can anyone point me in a good direction for both? Thanks

  2. daaamn havent heard anyone talk about hakkos in years..theres a few different models and wattages, but from what i remember the general consesus was that the higher the wattage, the less you have to actually "touch" your bud with the ceramic heating element. some folks were fine with the 25w although they said they had to touch it a little, while most recommended the 60/65w (not sure which it is) and be done with it, dont have to touch it but thats your decision.
also realize that the hakko is not cordless, so keep that in consideration. theres one, that i know of, that uses a recharging system, called the embur, but i dont mind cords at all. its defninitely pricier than the hakko, with the hakko averaging around 40-50, not sure on price of embur now, but years ago it was close to $200.
wish i could help on glass but we need more input on what you like, and more importantly, what you dont like in a bong.

  3. I have a Herb Iron and it's great!  It's not wireless like the Embur, but that never bothered me.  You can pick one up between 50-80 dollars depending where you get it!  I just had a friend snatch one up for 50 dollars on Ebay about a week ago.

  4. Just got myself one! Definitely something I'd recommend to anyone

  5. I've always wanted one but there so expensive. Jealous of you.

  6. If you can save up about $80 over time then definitely invest in one!
