Kronicly Insanes 2014 Outdoor Paradise

  1. Welcome to my 2014 outdoor grow. Last year turned out great but I'm always looking to do better. I look at it as I can always do better. As for my garden situation, I live in the suburbs and have neighbors close by. I wish I had more room and a better grow location but I don't so I make do with what I have. This will be the 3rd year grown in these holes and every year I amend the soil prior to the grow season. This year in planning on 10 plants total, 8 are mine and my son will have 2.

    Strains
From seed; THC Bomb, Painkiller, Purple Paralysis, and Silver LA.

From Clones; Flowerbomb Kush, LSD, Holy Grail Kush and either GSC, Hippie Killer, TrainWreck or another one of my indoor strains that I have clones of.
My son is growing Kens GDP from clone and either la woman or mango from seed.

    Soil
I will be mixing my own Organic soil blend once again this year. I have spent over a grand on bulk amendments that will last this and possible next season. I will start by removing last years soil from the holes and add new base soil. I currently have 15 ft if Kellogg's Patio Plus that will be added to the pile. I plan to double that so each hole can be dug deeper and bigger.

    Amendments
I currently have all of these.
Compost, perlite, Peet moss, earthworm castings, glacial rock dust, blood meal, bone meal, fish bone meal, crab meal, alfalfa meal, kelp meal, neem seed meal, feather meal, greensand, oyster meal powder, composted chicken manure, seabird guano, bat guano, rock phosphate, and a few other things I can't remember. I'm not exactly sure if the amounts yet as they will be based off the total amount of soil. I'm gonna mix the soil in the next few days so it can cook for over a month.

As of today all the clones have been rooted and 2 of the 4 seeds have been placed into soil and other two are germinating. They will receive about 1 1/2 months of veg time indoors before they get planted in the ground.

  2. My goal for this year is to shoot for 3 lbs a plant. Last year I had a few big plant and a bunch of small plants. I plan to make bigger holes thus year along with growing less plant to give them more room to grow. My soil is improved over this years so I should have a good chance of making my goal. I need to trim back my neighbors trees to give me the best chance and allow for more direct lighting. The plants will be kept in a 8' fenced off area that's kept locked at all times. I plant to build cages to support the plants weight when they get bigger. The plants will receive water except for a weekly or bi-weekly tea. I will purchase an fogger and use only organic pesticides to prevent pest. No harmful chemicals will be added or used in the growing of my cannabis. Photos will be posted soon of the progress so far.

  3. Eager to watch you grow this year bro. You are settingitup right. Sure u will hit ur goalno prob.

  4. Oh, after u hit the rest of the Nor Cal crew with what they need if u got any extra cuts hit me up ill take em to a nice home. :)

  5. I'll do what I can. I have about 50 in the ez cloner so once they root I'll have plenty. I have a waiting list right now but most want the LSD. I got sgt, Mike, Dadeo and then you. I got a few local guys but they come last. They will be happy with anything from me. Maybe next year I should purchase another ez cloner. I have rockwool but never have good results with it. Even the first few days after transplant can be tough on ez cloned plants. I will keep you up to date with what's left after sgt and Mike. I think they want LSD only. I should have taken a whole cloner full if I would have known.

Yesterday I dug up and removed the soil from 12 holes from last years grow. So it had about quite a bit to start from. After adding more base soil and everything else the soil piles seemed to double in size. I'm not good are measure what I add to my soil but instead go my how much seems about right. I do read instructions to see recommendation. I'm guessing I started with approx 160 gallons worth of soil from last year. The soil was split into two piles due to the amount expected. I added the following amendments.

    10x 1.5 cf of Kellogg's Patio Plus
    2 x 4 cf of Perlite
2 x bags of Peet Moss
    25 lbs of Alfalfa Meal
    22 lbs if Kelp Meal
10 lbs of Neem Seed Meal
    25 lbs of Crab Meal
    35 lbs of oyster shells
    25 lbs feather meal
    20 fish bone meal
    10 lbs seabird guano
    40 lbs greensand
    30 lbs Glacial rock dust
    25lbs rock phosphate
    6 lbs Indonesian Bat Guano
6 x bags of composted chicken manure
2 x bags of earth worm castings
    8 lbs bone meal
    8 lbs blood meal
    6 lime
    10 cups pelletized chicken manure
4 yards of quality compost from local landfill consisting of yard clipping, farm and restaurant good scrapes
I think that's the full list so far but I might have forgot an item or two from this list. I might still add some Epsom Salt and Azomite to the mix before I fill the holes. I still have a bout 2 yards if compost left and 3 bags of composted chicken manure that I plan to add and till into to the rest to the garden area. I also still gave amendments left along with 5 bags of soil that I can add if needed. I also kept enough for top dressing and making teas. Only a few more supplies and I'll be good until harvest. I have most my organic pesticides and just need to order my fogging machine. I swear not to loose bud due to pest. I may other mantis and ladybugs. Possibly lacewings too but I didn't notice them so I don't know if they stayed. Lady bugs didn't stuck around long either. I had no bugs for them to eat I guess. While digging up last years soil i found a bunch if worms that I made sure stayed in the soil. I may even purchase some to keep fresh castings in the soil. I'm trying to ensure I have everything I need for this years grow. I even already have replacement bulbs for the bug zapper. I also need to get 4-6' tall metal fencing to make cages to spread them out and support the branches. It seems each year I spend more money getting the garden ready. Hopefully next year us a bit cheaper. I'm sure after a few years of building my soil heavily will pay off for many years to come. I'm sure it's teaming with life and is a great living soil.

Your adding all that to 320 gallons of soil? Thats a shit ton of ammendments man.only ned 2 to 3 cups of a dry ammendment mix per cubic foot. Cubic foot is 7.5 gallons.

  9. I got more base soil to add to the mix. The piles got too big so I haven't added them yet. It might be a bit too much but it should turn out fine.

  10. Ok coolyeah definitely would add a bit more base if ur using all that. Less is more. ;)

  11. I still have 5 bags of Patio Plus and might get some more depending if I have enough or not. I defiantly have all areas of nutes covered.

  12. Where's all the pics? We want porn

  13. Moved the soil to a different spot and gonna mix with my tiller. I also added the extra five bags of base soil. Gonna hit if with the tiller in the morning and wet it all down afterward to let it cook. I found a bunch of worms under the other tarps and picked all of them and put in the soil for my plants. I added at least a hundred worms to the soil.

  15. Today I transplanted my outdoor plants into 3 gallon starter pots. All but THC Bomb and PainKiller where transplanted. I moved the plants outside to get natural sunlight and will bring them in around 7-8. I also gave away a bunch of clones to Sgt which will be doted to MikeTrich as well as others. I'm looking forward to you guys growing the hell out of LSD.

  16. Got my Hudson fogger delivered today. It's gonna be a great upgrade over a pump sprayer. Plants are vegging well and pics will get taken and posted in a few days. I dug two holes out to just over 3ft by 3ft deep. I also added more compost to my soil pile and gonna hit it with the tiller still. It's supposed to rain so the pile will get nice and wet. After it's mixed well it will start to fill holes. I might use a few smart pots instead of trying to dig a few holes. It would be interesting in seeing them both com paired to in ground grown plants.

  17. Worked on prepping so I can get the girls outside this weekend. I have two plants that are a month behind the other 6 plants. I just need to finish digging two holes and then fill them with my soil mix. So far 6 holes/pots are filled and I have plenty of soil left to fill the last two holes and probably enough for the autos which will get 7g SmartPots. Gonna try 4 autos this year and hopefully they produce a few zips each. I'm down to my last unit or so and could use the extra flowers between now and oct. I plan on finishing the holes in the next day or two along with rebuilding an 8 ft section of fence that wasn't rebuilt when I did the rest of it a week ago. I just need to replace the 4 ft deer fence with 8 ft tall lattice fencing. I also need to trim my neighbors trees that are in my side of the fence. I'm gonna see if my neighbor will let me trim them a bunch but he Asian and loves those two trees. One is a persimmon tree and a ortimental pear tree. I hate that they block too much of my direct sun light .

  19. Today I got hole number seven finished. So far the smallest hole us 2 and a half feet wide and deep. Most exceed 3 ft wide and deep. I have one last hole to finish digging which is currently cover by 100-150 or so gallons of mixed soil and plywood. I need to pick up a 20-34 gallon smart pot for one of my sons plants and fill his in ground joke one it's finished being dug. His plants will be limited to under 40 gallons due to lack of space. As it is come harvest the plant will inter twine. My plants are priority so they got the prime spots, my sons will get fit in where there's room. The strain list is 4 autos and 8 photos. Autos are Thia Fantasy, Blue Dream, Green Posion, and Amnesia XXL. Photos are Silver LA, TrainWreck, Flowerbomb Kush, Holy Grail Kush, LSD, Purple Paralysis, Casey Jones and Pineapple Express. My sons are LA woman and Hippie Killer. I need to get fencing for cages still and need to build tea brewer. The brewer will be a trash can or plastic barrel with pump built into the bottom along with as picket to dispense the finished product. I plan to feed it to my young fruit trees also. This is there second year and a few are already fuiting. The tea will help them grow big and strong. I also place a ring of compost around them. Getting free compost has helped my garden and yard a bit this year. It's helped increase my soil and help diversify it. I plant to top dress each hole and pot with some neem meal and crab meal along. Gonna change my bug zapper light and spray for other pest before the plants go outside. I will treat them for pest once they go outside. Soon I'll get to try out my new fogger. Yippy.
