Well hey guys I am a total noob at growing, and have never had a green thumb, but it seems like these guys are growing. So i will be posting every few days on their growth.

So far this is my grow. They are about 2 weeks old.

  2. Well a few seem to be yellowing a bit. I started to bring them in at night due to it being a little windy in cold. One has a leaf that seems to be folding a bit, what could it be? Is it normal? It doesn't seem to be excessive but i just worry.

  3. transplant them to a bigger pot man

  4. My plants look yellow too but they will bounce back. I also need to transplant my plants also! Good luck man, so good so far.

  5.

Transplant them already? Arent they still a little small? My biggest one seems to be about 5 maybe 6 inches. Thanks for the help.

  6. Wait til they get a lil bit bigger so they can get rooted nicely.

Sorry for not updating, I was in the hospital the last 3-4 days. So... My plants grew to big for the solo cups and started to yellow, or at least i think thats the cause, so I transplanted the rest today. I had already transplanted a week ago 1 of my 6 to test out how it would grow and it's doing fine. These are the other 5 transplanted.

EDIT: second to last pic is the first plant i transplanted.

  8. I have no clue about trimming them to make more node area for buds, so if someone can link me a good guide or one they found useful that would be helpful as I am still learning and want to try to get things as good as possible for my first grow.

  9. Nice Grow,, I Would Suggest Topping.. There's Like A Million Videos,, On Youtube It's Pretty Much Just Pinch Off The Top New Growth..

  10. Thanks for the help, ill look into it, this is just my first grow and I am a total newb, so anyone comments/remarks will be taken into account. I really want to get the hang of this and start growing my own. Thanks again guys.

  11. Sorry if I seem stupid, this is just my first grow, I watched this video, and so basically I just look for the top new "growth" or "pod" and snap it off? Sorry again, I am more of a hands on learner so watching people do it through videos is a little hard for me. Thanks.

This was the most informative video i found.

  12. You can also wait to top till they have 4 or five nodes a lil bigger.

  13. Any other advice? i really wished I knew someone that grew, because like i said, I am more a hands on learner. Thanks.

  14. A node is each place that a new shoot will sprout from, located in between the leaf and stem. For indoors it's good to top them (pinching or cutting off the very top node (new growth) of a branch but in this case the main stem) a bit shorter (when you have about 4-5 nodes). As far as growing outside however (which I have no personal experience with) I've heard it is good to wait a bit longer to top. My guess would be when there are about 8-10 nodes. Since you're a hands on learner, experiment a bit. I find that to be the best part about growing. Experimenting with different things, seeing what happens and what you like and don't like. Also finding what works for you and what doesn't work for you. Try topping one with less nodes, then top one later on when it has more. Try just leaving one without topping at all. Try topping one now and then topping all the branches when they get big enough ect. (Those are all just ideas for experimenting so do what you will with them). See how your plants react differently and how it affects their growth patterns. Then when you do your next grow you will have a better idea of what you like and what you don't like. Then you can use that to further experiment until you find what works best for you.

There is no right or wrong way to grow. There is only different ways of getting things done and it's all up to you to decide what works best for you.
So have fun! Experiment a bit, try new things, read all you can, watch lots of videos and take little bits and pieces from all of it slowly developing your own personal methods.

    Hope this helps, happy growing!

Thanks for the thorough response. I'll try to experiment once they gain a few more nodes, as i just transplanted them, i think they are in shock already so I want to wait a little so they can root firmly in the bigger buckets. I've been watching videos and trying to learn techniques, but it's hard sometimes with the camera angle they use. But once again thanks for the response.

  16. Definitely! That is something I should have mentioned as well. Let them heal a bit from the transplant. As soon as you see new growth taking off tho you should be good to go! I'm here watching also and would love to help in any way I can so definitely feel free to ask anymore questions if you have em!

  17. Thanks a lot i'll keep that in mind, if I ever ask to many questions let me know haha.

  18. Update on the grow!
