Everyone tells me that nuts are a great way to add calories and extra "healthy fats" into my diet. All the nuts I find in the supermarket are incredibly over-salted and have too much fat; (poly-saturated) at that. Can someone explain where I can find the "healthy" variation of all this Wal-Mart garbage? I may try Wegmen's but my options are limited. Perhaps I am just measuring my values wrong? Thanks

not true. depends on the soil (a lot). how it was fertilized, etc. ... anyway wegman's definitely would have them, look for raw organic cashews... i think they have the most pleasant taste, but then again you might get a variety pack and pick out the ones you want. try raw first, i like them a whole lot better than roasted and definitely not salted.
Best bet is a health food store. Potentially a trader joes. In my town there is a specialty store that is all organic/non GMO it's pretty sweet . If you're going to eat nuts.. Look for raw nuts. Examples of healthy fats nuts include walnuts, pumpkin, macadamia. Macadamia have a very high oil content lots of healthy fats. Don't bother with peanuts or anything roasted.
Wegmans probably has unsalted nuts. I know Costco does. You can get raw unsalted walnuts, pecans, cashews, and peanuts there.
