I am in the Market for a new 1000Watt BulB for flowering and I wanna see what the community is running and suggest? I was gonna go with the Hortilux Bulb that every stands by but the Genisis bulbs from MonsterGrow got my attention. So whats the Best Bulb to run Blades? Some people say new Bulb each run is that crazy talk?
And yes, I would say a new bulb each run is crazy talk. I have a back up just in case, but I will use each bulb until the end. I currently run 2 1000W MH in my room. I have a 3rd MH I could add, and 2 1000W HPS for the flowering that I will likely supplement with 1 MH.
A new lamp every cycle is a little over the top but it all comes down to preference. Personally I run 1000w Digilux lamps with Phantom Digital ballasts and couldn't be happier. I would say the main concern should be matching the frequency of the ballast to the lamps especially if you're going digital.
