Military Drug Test question.

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by WalshEagles23, Mar 28, 2014.

  1. Hey man, Congrats! I'm pretty sure you can celebrate. Since you edited your posts I can't remember how long it's been for you but I think you said three months clean before you were tested? If that's the case and you passed, I should be good because I'm coming up on almost four months. Btw, did you tell them you smoked before or nah? Haha. I heard that makes a difference because if they find any traces of THC in your system they'll remember you admitted to it.

  2. yeah, traces of thc doesn't really matter if you don't smoke because there's small traces of it in some foods we eat, so it shouldn't affect anything at all I think

  3. Yeah i was thinking that too. How long did you go without using it again? And did you tell them you used it on the paperwork?

  4. Like how long did you go since you smoked? Or was it only second hand? I can't remember since your posts are gone lol

  5. lol. december. and second hand in march.

  6. Ahhh okay lol I was just wondering. I think you'll be good to go then. What job are you going in for in the CG? I'm trying to get either Infantry with Airborne, Cav Scout or Medic in the Army.

  7. And did you tell them it on the paperwork? Cause that can affect clearances I think, if you did tell them.

  8. I don't even know yet man, but we don't even pick our job until after basic anyway so I still got plenty of time to decide

  9. My advice to anyone joining the military is to just cut out weed for the 4+ years you are in. Don't even risk it get clean, go to MEPS, stay clean. You'll be thankful when you get out after a successful term and can just go get that prescribed to you.

  10. Anthony, ah I forgot. CG does it different. The Army you get guaranteed the job you choose lol. But my question to you was, when you filled out the paperwork, when they asked if you have ever smoked weed did you put yes or no? Because I heard if you put yes and they found small traces they would let it slide because you admitted it. But I dunno.

Yeah I don't plan on smoking, like I said it was pretty much just a one time thing before I even decided to join.

  11. Hi guys, got a date for the test. They asked for me to come in to MEPS on the 23rd of this month. I think I'm gonna go because I've been putting it off. That would make me 131 days clean since my last hit. This is do or die for by career and the drug test is a GCMS. The cutoff level is at 0, exactly 0. I'm pretty sure. So would there be any THC metabolites left in my system at all do you think? If they even spot 1 tiny thing it's automatic disqualification for life through all branches.

Thanks again for any advice or answers for my paranoid ass.

  12. They make the same as us but they get perks, when I was stationed in Germany out barracks where not up to airforce standards so the 5 or 6 airforce guys on our base got a $200-$300 low standard of living pay. I was in mannheim my base had an airfield so we always had a few airforce guys around. When I deployed to Iraq in 2011 my CET team (convoy escort gun trucks) got detached from my unit and got put on JBB (Anaconda) it was a joint army/airforce base but the army side was closed so we lived in luxury had trailers to live instead of tents or sleeping inside our MRAPs and they had a nice ass pool with 3 diving boards and a 24 hr DFAC plus airforce does 6month deployments instead of 1yr
