I got 60 sour diesel x bc berry seedlings going.. They are about 6 inches but I am about 3 weeks out from cloning.. Now can there a way to see if they r male or female before I start cloning or do I have to just make the clones and then sex them to find out... And what is the best light should I put on them.. I have the 120 site ezcloner now that cost me $260 but I think it will pay off.. I'm doing outdoors this year I just wanna make sure I get what I put out.. I just don't wanna waste my time on males.. But I got 2 hydro farm hoods one is a 400 watt and a 1000 watt.. I got 2 ballast one I a old sob from hydrofarm and one is idk it didn't have a name one it.. But I just wanna have nice big plants.. I usually wait till a plant is about 2 feet tall before taking cuttings off of them for cloning. But if you top around the 4th or 5th node you can clone the tops as well. A mature plant will usually show sex around 1 to 1 1/2 months old. You can take a cutting before then and clone it then put it in a 12 hour light cycle to determine sex. Also when cloning you don't want to give them to much light you want them to focus more on root growth then veg growth. For a cloning light I just use 1 or 2 26 watt daylight cfl`s. 2 if I`m doing a lot of clones if just a few clones then just one works fine.
Yea I wanna get as much as I can out of everything I got.. I just picked up 2 clones of a buddy for 100 and 1 is white widow big bud and 1 is sour lemon so now everything is looking good.. I started with 80 seeds n got 60 that made it n now 3 clones.. The other one is northern lights.. I got them under 18 on n 6 off.. My partner said Friday or Saturday we can start taking clones .. I'm tryin to get my pictures on here but it ain't working right now.. I been taking pictures every few day... These are seedlings!!!
