The Undead Garden (600W Vert /super Soil )

  1. Evening folks, here will be the log for my first indoor attempt. As of now, I'm growing (2) plants under (6) 23/26 watt CFLs. 6500k

I have a 2700k 55 watt CFL and an additional 23 watt 6500k still boxed up and waiting for the transplant.

The strains are Royal Queen Critical (Feminized) And Pandora Autoflower (Feminized).

As of today they're about a week old, give or take a day. The Autoflower is struggling as it was by chance that she even germinated. Upon realizing that she even had, the plant had stretched about 2 inches and nearly dry. But she's defying the odds and though her growth won't be up to my standards, who am I to deny her life after such a hard life already. Chances are, I will baby the Autoflower and simply enjoy the plant itself more so than the bud she produces.

But enough of that, now to the soil. Roots Organic and 100% organic worm castings is the base for this grow and upon transplanting, they will be housed in (3) gallon smart pots. A (2) gallon mixture of the base soil will sit upon a (1) gallon mix of subcools supersoil. It has been cooking for nearly 2 months now and around April 1st, I will finally use it.

The critical girl is loving her conditions and the distance between nodes is a quarter inch max. She will be my LST project and I hope to coax 8 tops from her.

Once flowering time starts, I'll be slapping her under a 600 watt HPS, which by then my 4' W 6' T 6' L tent will be completed.

  3. lookin forward to seeing that critical, im inn

  4. I'll do my best to bring out the best in her. :D

  5. At which node would you fine container growing-savvy folks suggest a transplant? I'm seeing roots at the bottom of them both, suggestions? They have gown for roughly a week now.

  6. So I went ahead and transplanted them both, as I was seeing roots curling around the bottom of the container.

By the way, clear containers do not hurting anything, people use dark/black pots to help with algae growth that would accumulate during long term grows, but for sprouting/veg growth before transplanting to the final pot, I highly suggest them. Allows better root monitoring and also lets you see whether or not its watering time.

I added the extra 2 bulbs, 55 watt 2700k and 23 watt 6500k and rigged them up with what I had laying around lol. Timers are set to 3:30am-8:30pm for a total of 17-7

3 gallon air pots, little over 1 gallon of subcools super soil and roughly 2 gallons of roots organic/worm castings.

  7. Looking lush and green, good job man.

looking forward to seeing the results of this CFL grow  :bongin:

  8. They'll be 2 weeks this Sunday, so I've decided to carry on with my plans. Got the frame built for my tent and ordered the panda film to go around it. Also, I placed an order on a 600 watt bulb/ballast and a mogel socket prewired with a 15' cord to hang vertically.

No need for canopy penetration if they're LST'd flat along the wall!

Also bought my honeydew fan to place below. Heat won't be an issue with this vertical grow. I can't wait!

  9. Here's the frame. Its 6' tall, 6' long an 4' wide.

  10. Just learned that the critical grows short, staying less than a meter high and has tight node spacing. Guess that means no LST for her after all :(

  11. I would add 6 more so you can have faster growth

  12. Clear pots are not good for plants if you have more intense light

  13. Not true do you know how to make your lower branches grow without hurting the plant?

  14. They are officially 2 weeks old today.

Stealth, with its height I'm not sure if I can LST to begin lower branch training. Its maybe an inch and a half away from the soil line. And taking you guys advice of "more light", I placed the order for my 600 watt HPS and it arrives Wednesday.

I think they're finally over transplant shock and are once again producing leaf sets. I've also started germing 6 more Pandora Autos, 48 hours and no sign of growth. Don't think I'll be ordering from Herbies again. The germing table is in my cab with my girls so they're staying warm and moist.
