The Undead Garden (600W Vert /super Soil )

  1. well I was told to add more lights, so I got this 600watt hps. Also made the cabinet I've been using the veg room. Probably going to make it a clone rooting room as well.

  2. agreed with the hps you want to be about a foot and a half to two foot away further if you want stretch from you plants imo . you should buy a cheep thermostat and have it between the plants at there hight then as they grow you can keep adjusting the light hight to the plants temp which will help grown rate having an almost set temp .
    nice seedlings btw

This is going to be a vertical grow, meaning the light is hung down in the midst of the plants. This gives a full 360 area that is given light, which theoretically gives me the ability to grow more plants per bulb.

I can't remember if its in the photo, but I have a fan aimed up at the bulb on its highest speed, pushing the heat up as soon as its radiated thus taking away most, if not all problems with heat control.

Upon finishing my tent (Which I've started doing now), there will be vent tubing above the light and at attached will be a scrubber. Near the bottom in two places will be the intake vents that practically suck cooler air as the hot air is forced up and out.

The plants, upon their stretch when they adjust to this style, will be LST'd flat along the wall much like a hand fan. Eliminating the need for canopy penetration.

Or so is the plan. But we ALL know how well plans work out lol.

Definitely a learning experience to come and a step towards the lesser traveled path! You guys should check out vertical grow journals and their results. (8 ) plants, (2)lbs (1) 600 watt bulb.

In the words of The Joker..
    Here.. we.. go!

So you understand the theory of vertical VS horizontal growing? I'll try and find the diagram that convinced me to try.

  9. Tent is complete. I do need to grab a thermostat but the temps aren't bad at all. Had to water the Pandora and she perked right up. Also set my seedlings in side on different shelves of the desk to see how well they do. Whatcha think fellas?

  11. Update. gotta do some pruning and find a better means of LST than tape and twine. Critical at the front, Pandora behind her. They're a month old this Sunday but no signs of flowering from the auto. 3 baby Pandora's at a week now. Maybe a day or two more.

  16. 3 Pandora seedlings, the big Pandora girl (she's got 11 nodes about about 9 tops. But damn does she drink like a fish! I give her a gallon and a half a day and she's still wiltty the next morning. Though when lights come on after the watering she perks right up.) And then my critical queen. She's growing so compact and just.. perfect all the way around. Can't wait to see how she looks in flower. Def. Gonna take a few clones if I can pick which branches to snip. And most certainly responds well to LST. Seems like she is just now getting into the gallon of super soil at the bottom of the pot too as a couple of leaves are rusting up on the tips. This grow had been 100% water only, but tomorrow I've made a worm casting tea to apply. The 3 smaller girls aren't as dark green as the other two so I'm guessing I didn't use enough castings in the initial mix.

  17. Topped them both today, next Sunday (27th) I'm flipping the lights. They will have vegged for ... I can't remember. A little over a month.
