I have a strange feeling that I no longer belong in this world. My routine of wake up, bake & chill is becoming more and more empty and meaningless.

I thought I was happy...but I'm not. Where do I go from here?

I have conformed to society's general view of success & happiness. I don't work, am young, have lots of money, drive Ferrari's everywhere I go, live in mansions, drink & smoke excessively, go on vacation once a month, etc.

Sounds like the dream right? Wrong. I'm not happy. My soul is crumbling from my extreme use of wealth.
I yearn to break free & live on a hut in the middle of no where. But I can't. You may think I can.
You probably believe because of my wealth I have complete freedom & liberation, the ability to go where I please and do as I please. But anyone outside of the wealth club don't understand that money is a prison.

I  have trapped myself between the walls of excess. There is no going back. Only forward. Towards more wealth and more extremes. It scares the hell out of me. What am I becoming? I'm starting to question why so many people work & work & strive to live the life I do. Paying bills and staying alive is understandable, but going beyond that doesn't lead to anything.I'm not saying money can't buy happiness. But its like finding company in a shadow...there's none there.

I'm really scared. There is nothing in front of me other than yachts, beaches, jets & sex. I look behind & all I see is blackness. I shout out and no voice returns to me...only an echo of my own self pity.

I guess I have built my castle, and I must live in it now. I hope you all realize that making money may be essential, but it is not life.

You believe I'm a stupid rich kid don't you? You're going to leave comments such as 'toughen up' or 'give your money to me.'

But who are you to judge a soul whose experiences you haven't experienced?
Who are you I say. To label me before you know me.

The poor and middle class make to many assumptions. But it to those same people that I ask this question...

Where Do I Go From Here?

  2. You have money. Money isn't real. But money can still be used. You say there's no turning back and wealth must be increased. But you'll have no use for this money. You want to add value to something that isn't real. Remember what's real. If your as rich as you say you can impact many. Progress what is real.

I grew up with very little, living in a household that lived off of welfare and minimum wage pay checks. Everyone I knew was poor and had no real plans to escape their cycle of poverty.

You say money is a prison, but for me money buys freedom. I work to build massive wealth so I don't have to clock 50 hours at a job I hate, slaving away and not getting to see my future children grow up.

You speak as if you are powerless, but for me money is the ultimate power. I could change the lives of billions of people. Fuck the wealth club, take the reins and use what you have to do the most good that you can. I'm not talking about giving wealth to people that would squander it, I mean actually build something that will change the way the world is. Educate people, teach them to be better.

Your opportunities are endless, but you have only one life, one chance to do something great. Don't waste your head start.

    EDIT

Perhaps I jumped the gun. I have not been in your position, so I don't know what you deal with day to day. I often think my family was like a fish, they didn't know they were under water because it was all they had ever experienced. Perhaps you need to step outside of your comfort zone to gain a new perspective.

If I may ask, how did you become wealthy? Have you ever mentored a budding entrepreneur?

  4. give me your money and go live as a hermit in the woods. if and when you return with the knowledge you need ill give it back.

  5. Take a t break and make a deliberate effort to break your routine. See what happens

  7. Go out and do things. Anything. Go on adventures... but do not calculate every action or event that will take place because there's truly no knowing what will happen. So, go out into the world without expectations and just let things happen to you. Do no anticipate what you'll encounter/how you will feel and instead do whatever you do and feel whatever you feel. You will feel more free when you're not deciding everything before it happens.

And... life/things only have the meaning you place on them so use this to your advantage in whatever way you see fit.

  8. Additionally, it seems like with all your wealth you have forgotten how to live.

I feel so terrible, I truly don't know what I'd do if I was trapped in a world of luxury and freedom.

  10. My advice would be to live as if you were a low/middle class individual. Force yourself into the mindset of a person who struggles to gain money. This will allow you to figure out some things from a different perspective.

Live frugal and entertain yourself occasionally to something that requires money, including bud.

Im not trying to be harsh, just real. It seems that you feel depressed as you do not have a goal. Strive to reach something, its only then you'll have some purpose in life.

I'm not sure if your a spiritual person (religious is a totally different matter, I mean spiritual), but try to dwell into the teachings of Buddha, and other philosophies of LIFE.

You take your gift for granted, its obvious that you are aware that the majority of people strive to live your lifestyle. Ponder over why that is.

Expand your mind dude, leave your comfort zone, and tell me about your experience.

I'm positive that most people will not give 2 shits about you so whenever you need someone to talk to, hit me up.

    I'm not an asshole.

  11. Wanna switch lives? You'll really wanna kill yourself after walking a mile in my shoes. Especially if you're wealthy and still wanna commit suicide.

No Schwag kinda sounded like he had it right. it sounds as if youve locked yourself into a cycle, nothing is new and you keep doing everything youve been doing and nothing changes. so all you have to do is break your cycle bro. just do something new and exciting, maybe even thrill-seeking. do something crazy like drug dealing or become a roadie, drop all your money and buy a cabin in denver or something. or hey, start or join a fight club

  14. You'll become happier by giving me your money.

    only you control your life.

    go on tour

    buy wire wrapped jewelry

    help us feed our children

  16. Help people. Do something for your community and those who are less fortunate. Success is not measured by means of wealth rather it is measured in your impact on the world around you. Seriously, help people. Not only is it fun to make a positive impact, it can be life changing. Best of luck and remember, dreams don't expire, it's never to late. :)

  17. I'm getting ready to post a thread you can read for what it's worth. It sounds like you are lost. I don't mean that in a mean way. I came on here meaning to post what I'm going to...but first I clicked on this thread. Just maybe things happen for a reason. It's a strange life you know, so why not?

^If you're educated and want a challenge, join the Peace Corps. I'm in the process. It will give you a perspective alright.

  18.
Its hard to explain how you can't turn back. I know it sounds stupid & foolish to you, but its something you have to experience to really understand.

YES! The fish comparison is spot on. As for mentoring, I'm not really a teacher...but I will say this:
There is no secret quote or hidden page in the bible of how to get rich. There is no lost page or information in the pyramids that the rich keep to themselves. Vast money simply comes from selling anything on a large scale, successful equity shares and/or inherited old money.

Network & market yourself well and the riches will follow.

    Would if I could buddy...would I if I could.

Fortunately, I have enough integrity left that I don't have to prove myself to randoms on the internet.

Now that sounds like a grand idea! Maybe cycle in rural france.

Want to come with me? Haha

It seems that way. But why then do people strive to live the life I do? People always say that I am 'living' or 'living the good life.'

I tell them its not so, but they refuse to understand and continue to strive for the riches.

I'm going to take that as sarcasm. Seriously...what would you do? Actually think about the question. I bet you have to think for a while because you probably don't even know.

Dont say 'chill on the beach all my life' because you wouldnt. First thing I did when I starting making money was exactly that and it was boring as fuck after 2 weeks. There needs to be a goal, but after wealth there is no goal because society's standard goal is wealth.

    Thank you.

I might actually do that. But I could never really pull it off because deep down I would know what I have and wwho I am. And I could never bring myself to sell all my assets. I just couldn't.

Thanks anyway, I might pm you sometime.

I've given away a vast amount to charities, mainly animal charities but charities never-the-less. Its hard to help anyone directly. Unless you here about them from a family member or friend how can I know about them?

And I gave $10,000 to a man to pay for college once. Long story short he went to Atlantic city and is apprently living in poverty now.

I cant help people who dont help themselves.

Peace corps? Now that does sound interesting. My ex-wifes new husband is actually one the assholes that benefit from war.
The look on her face if i join the peace corps would be priceless :D

I'll be sure to read your post.

Thank you to everyone thats tried to help. Unfortunately I think only I can dig myself out of this one.

If anyone wants to talk, hear advice or needs help; Hit me up. I'm always free.

    Adios

    :D

  19. i dont see what could possibly be stoping you from something so simple.

however if theres any truth to the story and your desire, you could always set up an account possibly through a third party that cant be touched for awhile and go do just that.
