24 days since the flip to 12/12  I decided to pollinate the 2 larger BTB with  the largest BTB male and both the K plants  2 buds each. I turned the fans off and hand pollinated with a small makeup brush... Fans will be turned back on tomorrow, I havent found it necessary to wet down the plants in the past as I only found a few errant seeds with my hash berry and I think they were prob hermies witch I dont save

3. Nice looking grows going on! Sweet score on the ewc too. Ever think of doing worm bins yourself?

4. Thanks for dropping by
Yep I do but  I really like these strains and there not available femmed , besides I kept the biggest male and female to make some free seeds
Worm bins are one of  my next project, its way down my list as I can get good quality fresh from my neighbor ,  He lives and breathes worms.
Just curious do you buy a worm  bin or just use a tote it doesnt sound very difficult

Yea..from what I understand just a large tote ect..

I have yet to do it myself. I have been poking around threads just to see if it's worth it. Seems it's pretty set and forget. If you have a good connect and for only 30 bucks I wouldn't waste my time. That seems damn decent. Where I'm at its 20 bucks for .75 cf.

While it's not unaffordable. It's the most expensive part for me. It would be awesome to cut that cost. Wish I had cooler neighbors.

6. This guy ships most of what he sell over to Europe,  Apparently the Florida peat, basically swamp muck is favored by a particular worm.
Keep the temp stable and dont overfeed them should be easy I get a lot of them  in my compost pile  .

7. 30 + days on two BTB on the  2 smaller plants on the right are clones put in a week later  watered with Coconut and Aloe vera

I chopped the 2 earliest plants I am surprised  that they ran only 81/2 weeks just like Mandela suggested. Always before they run a few weeks late . Can I attribute this to the Malted barley teas I used from veg thru flower about every 2 weeks as other blades have suggested

the 2 clones which I put into flower abut 2 weeks later the larger plant was ready in 8 weeks
and the smaller one is still in 12/12 and putting out more pistols

This is only my 3 rd grow and Im not sure how long I should let her go when she still is putting out pistols, kinda afraid she might make just more fluffy buds
heres some bud pron she really made nice big buds for a sativa , my first one .....

Another reason to use a  MBT besides the lush growth it produces and  it seems to flower faster

9. Next grow I have 2 clones that didnt want to root from the largest BTB .. I left them in my bubble cloner  they stayed green but never developed roots, so I stuck them in some soil I had cooking and voila they started to grow...  They have very strange leaf structure though ..... Along with 2 fem OG kush, should be an interewstin grow  2 sativas and 2 Indicas....

I am also gonna make the transition to notill  with 4 15g  fabric pots .... Since My grow room just has 1 narrow doorway I made a turntable so I can access and rotate the plants better

10. These are my 2 BTB clones that took forever to root
Im not sure what is causing this ,
My soil is a basic organic peat, ewc and perlite in equal amounts  using kelp , neem , alfalfa,  blood , bone  nutrient mix 3 cups / CF  for nutrient and  dolomite, crab  @ 1.5 cups /CF liming with 3 cups glacial rock dust and 1/2 cup azomite

Time to flip the Beyond the Brain before they take over , I waited as long as possible for the OG kush to  put on some size ,  I dont have a veg room big enough for my No tills ....
BTB are in the back  OG smaller in the front
I gave them a MBT yesterday and cranked up my 400 w Induction and a 300 / 180 3w LED and   flipped  the lights today , pics are under a 600 /330 5w chinese led I got on ebay for about $160 I was concerned that it had way too much white led but it appears to have done a good job
Its a copy of a Vipar prob the same unit

12. Hey there LAM I saw your post over on another journal and took a peak over here at your setup. I've been running Krystalica for over a year now with GREAT result running no-til 100% organic same as you pretty much an early version of coots mix sourced most of inputs/amendments local. I'm running LED 2 450w reflectors and a 900w Mars II in my flower room and a 450w reflector and a 700w MarsII in my veg room (I run autos in the VEG room going 20/4, veg the sativas in 20/4 along side the autos then into flower. Been running Krystalica usually to 85 days and look for 100% cloudy trichomes before chop. The later I let them go the fatter the buds until they stop putting out new pistols which will happen at 90 days or a little before. No worry to let them go a little long these are good genetics. I've been running pretty much all pheno type "C" along side Blue Thai (very sticky but lower yield).

Cheers

13. I did use the krystellica male to germinate my BTB and my Hashberry and got some nice seeds so I am gonna try the k/btb seeds next summer and see what I get ,
Mandela genetics are awesome , easy to grow with great results , wish I would have got satori seeds before they went away on , hopefully they will come back with something interesting to add to their lineup
I have not kept up this journal I am currently running BTB and some OG in my 2nd run in the No till CC soil and its awsome everything is way overgrown, Ill try to put up some pics later

14. It's nice to see others running Mandala strains, I thought I was the only one that does it as a hobbyist thing. Everyone wants to grow the next great popular strains and then are disappointed with results for whatever reason. Mandala is spot on 100% top shelf genetics. I suspect they are more popular with the professional growers in the PNW.

Here's a pic of my Krystalica Pheno "C" from my last run. I took 5 cuttings and they are just getting started in CC soil mix in my Veg room.
