Bottom leaves on my plant are during and I can't figure out the problem. Any input would help greatly they're grown indoors. I'm using fertilizer with a npk of 9-4-9 at half strength at the moment. I'm really worried about them because this is only my second go and I bought a whole new setup and really would hate them to die and half to restart. Thank you for looking at my thread and if you need any more information I'll reply quickly here's some pics. Also I've been doing different feedings to each plant trying to figure out the problem and flushed them all 3 days ago.

  2. It could be a combination of things really, usually with chemical fertilizers you start at 1/4 recommended dose or lower. How long have they been growing and how long have you been using nutes? In some pictures it looks like nute burn and a deficiency combined with a bit of over watering. The deficiency can be caused by a few different things including over watering and a PH imbalance.

    How far from the lights?
What is your watering frequency and source of water?
What, how much and when was it fed? NPK?
What is the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro?
What are the temps and humidity in the room?
    What size pots?
    Any bugs? Look real close.

  3. Make it zero thanks for replying I'll fill out your survey real quick
    The medium is soil
The potting soil is organic and I can't find the name because I tore it off
    Its being grown indoor
Grown under cfls around 380 watts
About a inch and a half from lights
I water when I the pots are light and soil is dry
Last fed last week except for one I fed 3 days ago because it looked deficient
The npk of the plant food is 9-4-9 its liqua feed for vegetables using about one fourth straight lately but at one point did use half str
I'm out of pH strips ATM so idk
    2 gal pots
No bugs I've checked everywhere in room
And no I can't think of anything else off the top of my head I flushed 3 of the five a few days ago
Found the name of the soil its gardeners pride
Thank you again for posting I really need the help!

  4. Well the potting soil isn't bad it has no timed release nutrients so at least that isn't an issue, most of what you are doing is pretty on the spot for a beginner grow. What type of water are you using, distilled or tap? If you are using tap water is it left out for 24 hours to release the chlorine?

Your biggest issue is PH, without knowing what your water and runoff PH is you will end up locking out some nutrients. And that will in turn make it seem like it is time to feed more nutrients which causes the nutrients which aren't locked out to become overloaded and cause burn and even in turn can lock out other nutrients. Your biggest priority needs to be some sort of PH meter or PH test drops to get semi accurate readings of your water and runoff PH.

I appreciate the help man this is the only way for me to get any advice.
And ive been using tap water and I let it sit out some of the time but sometimes I don't as well. I was wondering could I just boil it? I've tried that a few times just wondering if I could do that instead of letting it sit out. Thanks again!
