Hey, Im concerned that the source of my last crop dying was from root aphids that came in a bag of ocean forrest.

Ive always had fungus gnats from this soil but imo, the quality control has really lapsed recently.

I was going to cook my soil in a pot over my barbecue but then thought, "why not use a microwave?"

    Anyone ever microwaved their soil?

Concerned that there could be metal in minute amounts but not sure.

    Any insight is appreciated, thanks.

Not sure if this is the right section either, but it pertains I suppose.

It is now my conclusion that microwaving soil for 15 minutes will kill bugs/eggs and also, fox farm soil microwaved smells like potatoes

    :smoke:

    No idea why!
