Just got a new valve stem put on my tire of my car. I didn't get the one with the sensor but went with a rubber one....well I went to put air in it and I can't do it. The stem keeps wobbling making it impossible to put air in. When I go to put the air compressor onto the stem all I hear is a psst like I'm deflating it instead. Any ideas? My grandmothers van has the same rubber stems and I've never been able to put air in her tires.
2008 Pontiac g6 they didn't have any metal ones and the one with the tire sensor or whatever sensor it is to let you know your tire is low on air was $60. So I went with their rubber valve stems without the sensor for $11 and said id just continue checking tire pressure when I fill up at the gas station
You get what you pay for, should have stuck with what was supposed to be on your car and gone somewhere that would have what you need. Luckily, when you buy things at a tire place they usually give you free services for the part you buy... like if you bought new tires, you'd get free tire rotations and stuff. I think you should go back to the tire place, maybe go back in the shop with the tech and see how they do it and let them make sure your tires are good all around. It might not be practical to go back but they might have messed something up? Be safe. Sent from Pluto.
sounds like maybe the valve core is loose? the little stem inside the valve comes out. see if you can screw it clockwise and maybe it was just loose Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum
