  6. Looks like a killer setup. I just started my first grow, but it's micro and has a ways to go before I'll have much confidence in it. I've got a grow journal on it and could use the support.

I read up a bit on planting germinated seeds earlier today and it honestly doesn't seem to matter which way it faces. Some people say sprout up makes the roots stronger, some say it's safer sprout down. I dropped mine in and let the gods decide. It landed on its side, so we'll see how it goes. Mine was also buried maybe three quarters of an inch deep. A quarter of an inch sounds pretty shallow, but hey what do I know. You can always add more dirt, but you can't dig the seed back up.

I'm subb'd and here to see how things go. Good luck.

  7. thanks advice seems fair to go by,and the first grow is exciting isnt it?!

  11. My seeds took almost exactly one week to get to me, and they were packaged beautifully. Where'd you get yours from?

Side note I really need a few outlet splitters like the ones you're using. Couldn't find one when I went to Walmart yesterday... Right now I've got two separate indoor extension cords hanging in my box, it's an ass pain. But damn this is exciting, despite any issues I've come across this early into the game.

Looking good definitely subbed!love fellow cfl growers!
Maybe a little over kill on the lighting though? Those seedling won't need that much til way later. The 3x65 should new more than enough til week 3 or 4. Then I'd use those 65s as side lighting for branching and that big fucker for top growth, and flower.

  14. The seeds are coming just not soon enough and thanks man, if you know anything about cloning what are you thoughts about cutting a clone off my first grow as a side project, I know the 45% angle thing and have clonex spray but being my first grow, might save that for next time.

  15. Got them from seed supreme, they said it would take at least 10 sometimes 21 days and it's been about 7 days I believe, and splitters can really be bought at a lot of places, mainly any hardware store.
Only concern I have is I have two splitters and three bulbs on them equal to 152 watts when the socket extension cord says max 150 watts:eek:
Is 2 watts gonna burn my house down or are the instructions playing it safe with 150

  16. Cloning is easy pie my friend. By the end of your first grow you should have a few clones running around causing mayhem. You've got 4beans So I say clone them all before popping into flower, then keep the clones of the best momma plant.

  17. I do plan on using the trio setup as a side lighter, and should I just rotate the plants 90 each day ?

And it's really overkill? I thought more light like that might advance growth. Should I turn the big flourowing off untill the third week? Or just beam em lol thanks for any help an support from anyone

Oh yea you will want clones, the key thing there is do it in water and a $6 air pump and make a bubble cloner for less than $10.

You can get 100% first try if you go bubble cloning. At that point you are just one step away from hydro.
Dont let anyone tell you hydro is tricky, its dead simple.

I have no knowledge of bubble cloning lol, I'll.have to look it up and I dident even consider hydro, thinking it's the hardest way for a new grower but I guess not. But okay so I will try some clones, how far into the grow should I cut and plant clones, also seeing my setup is all that Is seen on the pictures would I keep the clones under the same (and only lights I have) even though there at different stages off life?
