I'm thinking of storing all my belongings at my parents place the hitting the road. I have no clue where I am going, no plan with just a backpack. Maybe I'll hitchhike across my country Canada, live in hostels or a tent depending on my location. Basically the only money I'll be spending is on food, hostels, laundry and small necessities like toothbrush etc. Has anyone done this? Anything I'm missing? Any advice? How much money should I save?
I've day dreamed about it before. We only have one life, and we're never guaranteed tomorrow. Live it up man, just be safe. It'd would at least be one hell of an experience.
Thanks for the kind words I'm just getting sick of idling through life, working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Coming home to video games and Netflix every night. Off days maybe I'll hang out with some friends, but generally it's all the same repetitive bullshit.

I don't smoke much anymore due to anxiety problems, so that's not too bad. As for money, that's my only concern. I'm thinking of perfecting an art like hemp jewelry (made some in the past) and possibly try to sell some in markets/sidewalks booths. Totally crazy out there idea but beats pan handling.
Im in on this idea. I absolutely hate the American idea of life. Slaving away at a 9-5 job, always paying some bill, always working toward some goal you may never meet... I wanna live out where the only rule is to survive and find things to do to give you that happiness everyone's after. I don't have to be alone, but I'd want a small, close community of good friends and like-minded people if anything. Just thinking about it gives me goosebumps!
