Christian Stoners

  1. I'm a Christian. I believe in Jesus, as the bible portrays him, as the son of God, my savior, etc yaddah yaddah

I also smoke weed, which is obviously an unorthodox practice amidst my co-adherents.

Now the point of this thread is just to be thought provoking. My views on God and Jesus and the bible seem to be fairly unpopular within GC, as could be expected. And I'm by no means claiming to have it all figured out, I'm open to all opinions. But these are my beliefs and I really do believe them. I'm just wondering if any other blades out there that truly love Jesus? And if so what are your thoughts on what he thinks about you smoking, etc.

I'm not out to solve some kind of ancient biblical religious mystery, while I'm gettin baked all night talking crazy with my friends. I just love Jesus, and have a personal relationship with him, and I like to smoke weed and don't think he minds.

    You?

  2. I'm a Christian, I believe in God and his son Jesus Christ or Yeshua... I smoke once or twice a day and goto church 1-2x a week. I read my bible sometimes, not as much as I should

I feel smoking is ok if you don't over due it, and you should base your whole life on it and alot of your money toward it.

  3. Jesus smoked the herb man, he had his share of altering his consciousness.  How do you think he became so spiritual and magical?

  4. I believe in Jesus. I also smoke. Weed is a plant. God made plants, right? I don't think plants were a man made thing. I believe Jesus is okay with it.

  5. I honestly don't know about how he thinks about me when I'm high, but I've always wandered and I feel like religion shouldn't clash with weed.

  6. You know one thing I really focused on in your post was when you said you know how "Jesus feels about smoking etc." well I guess what I want to know is how you know how He feels about it. I'm not saying that its right nor am I saying its wrong. I just think this is something each person has to workout for him/herself. I am a firm believer and also a smoker. I too struggle with some of these same type of questions.

I definitely don't 100% know how Jesus feels about it, I guess the main point of why I said that was cause I want to constantly be asking Him, reevaluating myself, becoming more like him every day. So i have a desire to know how he feels about things. Like I have felt before like maybe He wanted me to not smoke as much, etc.
idk man I mean that in the most practical way

  8. I understand what you are saying but our flesh is a very deceptive and powerful thing I just try to do my best each day and I guess I justify a lot of my actions because I'm like well I don't do this or I don't do that but I know really deep down it doesn't matter about that what matters is do I feel at peace on the inside with what I am doing. I know my heart will convict me if I will just listen.

  9. What I believe in is to find peace within yourself. Religious or not.
Being suicidal, I never once had someone to enlighten my soul, and never have used anyone elses legs to stand. In my heart I see what I am but don't make sense of the whole picture. I have peace inside, and then I do not. I am not right in my head, depression is all of it, and patching it up by myself taught me a lot, yet I'm not finished, neither are you. You will never be okay in the head, because you are you. So in a way we are all okay in the head because you are not I, and I am not you. I've found grace without religion. I see the beauty in all man kind. I see the uniqueness in each and everyone and smile to the wonderous imperfect but perfect world. Whatever you need to find yourself, to love the world, see clearly, understand, and be an ethical human-being is what you and everyone else must find. Everyone is different, so beliefs should not be judged, or expected to be widespread. The difference in all of us is what makes us beautiful. I wish the world would come to the acceptance of such diversity. But then again believe what you want just don't kill others over it! "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace."

  10. I believe in God, Jesus, Wind Spirit, Earth Spirit, Fire Spirit, etc, etc. I believe there are other Gods up there as well, I just don't worship them  but I  believe they are there. I believe He/she/they put Cannabis here to use just like He/she/They put other herbs here for us to use.  It's how i  talk to  He/She/They :D

  11. I have a relationship with Jesus, and I feel that relationship deepens when I'm high.

Does God want us to smoke weed? He gave us all herbs barring fruit, so yea. Its an all natural plant that you just need to pick off a plant and dry.

Jesus knows the decisions you're making are purely self-pleasure based, you better be careful, it's not a respectable commodity in the eyes of jesus.

  14. There's so many threads about this and everytime someone posts the quote from the bible that says ur supposed to be SOBER

Everyone ignores it. U don't care about what the bible says about smoking weed, ur still gunna do it. Good thing ur religion says u can ask for forgiveness

  15. Every Thing is permeated with God...He is in the very bowl you smoke...and in you....so what could He find wrong? You live up to your own expectations of your true self and there shouldn't be a problem.

It's possible to believe in God/Jesus/Spirit..whatever you choose to call It-Its all the same...without all the dogma attached, you know.

The best Christian is a free Christian...

    imho, that is.

  16. Its not the weed itself that is sin, but the fact that in most places it is illegal and also that many use it purely to get high. Same could be said about a Christian minor underage drinking. Luckily God uses us despite our faults and deals with us with everything at the right time. We are no more sinful than anyone else.

  17. One thing that is turning me off Christianity is people telling you what to do. If weed is making your life better then you smoke everyday of your life if that's what makes you happy. If Jesus comes down to earth and says smoking weed is a sin then you can have a choice but please don't let another human act like they know what God wants for you. Some people genuinely care for you and believe weed is bad because that's what they were raised on and some are just ignorant fucks

  18. While weed is grown naturally, I think that rather or not weed is a sin depends on the person.

The bible says that anything we worship other than God, is worshiping a false idol. If you revolve your life around pot, you are sinning. If you do it in moderation, don't have to have it for every day life, and truly could and would put it down and never have any kind of problem with it, then it's okay. However, if you can't go a single day without getting high, there's your issue.

  19. word yo

  20. Well I'm catholic, so very similar. I'm technically Christian aswell because I believe in Christ. But any ways my understanding is God gave us the herb. The bible says it's cool, but anything that goes against our goverment laws and not God's is a sin. Take that as you please
