  2. lol love it except I don't ever see that passing.  It's way too lenient.

If it was something like half oz to oz personal possession for recreational use 21+

but 2 and half oz plus 6 plants seems a little far out for Florida.

  3. The politician who submitted the bill commented that he didn't see it passing.  He was hopeful that it would open the door for discussion.

  4. I don't see it happening, but I submitted mine...  This would be incredible

  5. As mentioned, I really don't see this passing. Florida is so fucking backwards sometimes.
Still, glad to see attempts! Will spread around.

  6. Too many old people set in their ways.... NO pass :(

  7. That's what people said when Obama first ran for president but young people came out in droves and he got the most votes here.

Awesome. Hear that Floridians? Call and write your legislators in support of this bill, and remind them that you are a voter, and an vocal advocate. This sounds like a very good law. Far better then state run dispensaries with connected individuals and NO personal grows. Time to write some emails and PAPER letters. One or two a week at least. What's a buck or two a week to get MJ legalized in your state?

  9. I personally think that House Bill 1039 is just what we need to get it into discussion. Florida has been really tough since the beginning of this so called war on drugs. While it might not be passed this time maybe it will let them see if there is a majority/want and need for 21+ recreational sales in Florida. Leaving law makers, politicians and yes citizens feeling less judged for loving this plant.

  10. The best bill I've seen yet but that would give us the to much power in their eyes and never make it. This would be nice, email them with the link and make them see the future. I'll still take Morgans bullcrap MMJ

  11. thats funny...
i was looking at an article a couple days ago about the states with the harshest marijuana laws and florida was one of  'em

from one of the harshest to legal.. wow

  12. To be honest, I really don't care about being able to buy from a shop. All I really need is to be allowed to grow X amount of plants. Even if thats two I would be happy. I just dont see a point in buying something where I have no idea how it was grown, what type of condition etc etc. Plus the fact that I would be  heavly taxed for something thats grown by nature doesn't settle well with me. Oh well, im stubborn in my hippie ways.

However, I do understand how growing is not a suitable option for everyone. So its nice to have both options for everyone.
I live in florida, don't really see this passing. But its surely a damn good start for the sunshine state. Hopefully this will be a start to something beautiful. With all the damn people who smoke in Florida, I dont understand how we still live in a nazi regime, regarding cannabis.

    Keep on smiling  :smoke:

  13. I've lived in Central Florida for 22 years. After my first year here I wanted to leave but now that's another story. I won't fill this page of the horror show of the experience I endured and still suffer from life in Florida. But after 22 years I have come to the conclusion that INSANITY IS DEFINITELY LEGAL IN FLORIDA! They can't even run the Boards of Education properly never mind legalizing marijuana laws! It's just plain "Tourist Mentality" here in Fl. There's a No Trespassing, No Loitering sign just down the road where a homeless person might stand with a sign looking for help for Pete's sake! I keep forgetting to bring some eggs along so I can plaster this outrageous notification against humanity!

Personally I qualify for medical marijuana due to a handful of verified health afflictions. But the Police paranoia presence  along with the "State of Appearances" is just overwhelming. You can hardly find anyone that's willing to sell those stupid little thumbnail bags of weed around here! Most of the time when I try to get some for personal use and relief, I get nothing but shrugs and remarks about legalizing it! I truly feel that people are just to damn paranoid and the trust factor that existed years ago is completely gone!  Upon entering the state of Florida, they should post a sign saying; "Welcome to Florida, The State Of Appearances, Where We care more about the Alligators & Snakes Than it's Civilians!"

Hell, I was abused by Police here when I was robbed while asleep in my bed! (I'm also legally half deaf!) My daughter even witnessed the bastard in our home for God's sake! The cops also belittled and patronized my daughter upon questioning her! She was in tears crying, saying, "What are you doing to my Daddy!"  I'm omitting what they did to me . . .  Legalize what!? I've been feeling for years that this state is nothing short of a "Government Experiment!" I am fifty nine years old and pray to God that I'll finally get a great lawyer for my disability! Once done, I can finally get the hell out of Florida! Oh BTW, the police shook the criminals hand while I was handcuffed in a cruiser, 100 degrees, windows shut with no air! I had a baseball bat, the criminal had a pistol! No search was made for my wallet, $2000 dollars, keys & all ID!!! They simply let the bastard go! After two weeks, "They" finally decided to investigate, meanwhile the perpetrator moved out of state.  . . Legalize my ass . . .

Interstates 75 and 95  go in both directions...........

  15. The people who are saying this has no chance, the same thing was said when WA and especially CO brought legalization to the voters. I agree the state legislature in Florida is far more conservative but if the GOP's stance on legalization really is changing this could be an opportunity to prove just that. Remind them of that.

  16. I agree to a certain extent that FL is no different than from many other states and have a lot of crooked law enforcement.

Also you really can't find any bud? It's pretty easy.  You should try moving more south.

  17. After all my years of life, it's still a supreme mind fuck to me that another person can decide what you can and can't do inside the confines of your own home. Away from others, affecting no one else. It just blows me away...

  19. INB4 before someone from Cali comments on how this bill is shit...

  20. ^^^ Well, shit bills do something for those who wish to control to their benefit: create fear and paranoia, and the "obvious" pathway becomes whatever ISN'T in the crap law. So yeah, there is a reason crap laws ARE intentionally introduced. It's just like two party politics. Put up one really crappy candidate against a crappy candidate. The latter looks golden by comparison.
They've been wagging people about by their tails with the marijuana issue for a long time like this. Hopefully you kids stop letting them do it to you some time soon.
