Here's one from my pops, "When in doubt take a clone an' throw it into flower, You'll see your sex fast, or clear out your vege room"
Two things. One, grow using vertically mounted bulbs, no glass tubes, no hoods. That's for production. ... Two, if you want to have some fun and have the environment to support this protocol select your clone mother and take a few cuttings from her for preservation. Once you move your first batch of clones from veg to flower leave the mother in veg to recover. Once she recovers take some more cuttings for keeping (or tossing) and repeat this process for an additional 30-45 days or until it's time for a new flowering rotation. THEN move this clone "mother" into the flower room and watch her go LOL. She'll have so many budZ on her it will blow your mind. Everybody will want to know, "how'd you get some many tops on that plant!" or something along those lines. Chop hell out of her and don't let her get over 32" tall from the floor. Just mow her down like a marine recruits flattop. She'll recover. It's fun and it's pretty amazing really.
Yep, they share the same root sytem but keep theyre genetics. So you can have a blue dream mother with a branch that produces lets say bubba kush clones. Not sure how flowering would work out but id imagine it would be very interesting.
Just was told this by my grandma when talking to her about these new blue strawberries I'm growing as well "You can use a little bit of vinegar with your water to get the acid you need for certain plants, that is if you forgot to put fresh coffee grounds in the soil to begin with" "If something is having trouble growing normal, throw 2 tsp of hydrogen peroxide in your water, if there is a pink foam that comes out you have fungus that is bad from coconuts" Not sure about the last half of the second one, she's about 96... but it does work for me once a month or two
Plant grafting is pretty awesome .. look 7t up diffrent strains ona single mother plant .. pretty awesome if you ask me Sent from my GT-P5113 using Grasscity Forum mobile app
"For your seedlings, nuke their moist soil until it is steaming hot, then let it cool completely before adding your sprouted seeds! This kills the Damping-off fungus that kills many seedlings." But what about the good microbes that I am nurturing in my soil - microwaves don't selectively kill life... J
Forget about all the claims of "superbud enhancers", "bud builders", and other overpriced over-diluted additives and learn to grow a healty plant to flower and harvest and cure properly for maximum results. PW
C'mon guys, like we havent seen the organic vs. Synthetic a million times. Its not a trick but a matter of preference. Get over yourselves and post some real "old grower TRICKS" and save your opinions for the appropriate thread, theres a million of them out there
It started out as a tip. I could care less HOW anyone grows, to each his own. I have my own opinions about what I put in MY body though.
