Lights when out so I decided to snap a few. On a side note there's roots coming out of one of my rapid rooters.
Batting .500 so far. Looks like ones not gonna root. 3 for 4 not bad, first time using something other than a coffee can cloner.
Been a little while. Here's two northern light clones that have been going for two weeks and two bag seed clones that rooted in 7 days in rapid rooters.
Here's the green crack I moved into the flower chamber today. She vegged for 5 weeks. The I have the bag seed that's been in flower for 3 weeks. Then we all see the northern lights (end of week 4) that is really missing her N tried alfalfa/kelp tea top dress with Epsoma, ewc and some neem. I think I let her veg to long. Lesson learned. Last pictures is some seeds I'll be getting from her.
I grew the same bag seed out in hydro and it gave me some seeds. It had a cool purple tint to the buds.
To answer your question, I was shooting for 1 gal per foot of growth. I was figuring 3' so I went with a 3 gal, But as you can see LST gave her tons of branches. I seen you talking about have plenty of room in the pots. Live and learn. The bag seed is in a 3 gal and she's nice and green still. The green crack is in a 5 gal root pouch.
I'm sure she will survive. The yield may suffer though. Any room for a fat top dressing? You could throw some ewc/compost and some neem, kelp n crab up on top. May help a bit.... is she in a smart pot? If so, you could try putting her in a larger pot.. the roots will grow right through the sides... you probably knew that. Just some ideas.. pot size is definitely a biggy... I think with some strains more so than others. My Satori yellowed out big time really early and had a pretty small lookin' yield.. my Safari plant looks great and is lookin' like it's gonna yield 2-3x as much. Same size pot, same soil... .... my conclusion: bigger is better--better safe than sorry--can't hurt... all that good stuff.
I did do a top dress. Was even thinking about cutting the bottom off the plastic pot and putting it on top of a few gallons of soil. Got me thinking I started noticing it when I put her on the sip tray. Didn't think it could be over watered being it's only the 4 holes with perlite up tight to it.
So the NL is about to hit 8 weeks this Tuesday and it looks horrible. I did cut the bud off I pollinated and grab these. Here's the bag seed that has two weeks to go. Cleaning everything up a bit I'll post some pics of the green crack and a clone I took from the NL, rooted it and straight to flower. These two are still nice a green.
Thanks man. I topped it and let the bottom catch up. Then tied each branch to the edge and they grew even. http://forum.grasscity.com/index.php?/topic/1285119-My-Cab-In-The-Basement
Chopped down the nasty looking NL today. 8 weeks and 2 days, I was tired of looking at it. Smells good but looks airy for being under a 600.
