The Land Of The Midnight Sun

  1. Mmmm sounds tasty buddy-w. Simple breeding is super easy. You can take that male and stick him in a window or something on the other side of the house. They are pretty resilient, and they will continue to grow in a window. When he starts shooting pollen, you can shake him and collect it on a piece of paper. You can then save the pollen n a freezer for several years. Or you can take a paintbrush, and paint some pollen onto a branch of a flowering female. Only that branch will get pollenated (if you are careful) and only that branch will grow seeds.

  2. That's my plan but the other side of the basement is cold. I bought a 10 pack of regular NL. These are the last 2 I have. I had a dampening off problem at the beginning, germination area was getting to cold with lights out. Just about everything has NL bred into it and I could use some free seeds. I just popped a Humboldt seeds green crack to take its place.

  3. One confirmed female.

  4. NL male + NL female. Free seeds are ok in my book.

So it's been 12 days since I tped. My ph meter is no where in sight. Plants are not full of spots trying to chase the ph. I love the organic's section. Sometimes I don't know what to do when I walk down stairs so I just stare alot and remind myself to LITFA.

  5. So I'm looking for opinions. I want to take a few cuttings off my plant and have had success with the coffee can cloner, but my aquarium heater is being used right now. I have rapid rooters, and base soil mix for mediums. I have root tone and some KLN from dyna gro, a humidity dome and heat mat with 2 23w cfls. I know it's all opinions and what works for you but what do you guys think?

  6. Do you have kelp meal?  Aloe?

  7. Kelp yes. Aloe no. I read an out the aloe and haven't picked any up yet so I'm working with what I have.

  9. Keep it simple it is. Just took three cuttings. Thanks.

  10.
Sorry, I was out yesterday.  I was going to say that Kelp has the rooting hormones IAA and IBA that are found in the commercial rooting products (usually just one of them, kelp has both).  So using a kelp tea could be very helpful with rooting clones.

Piece of paper underneath. Pour into a zip lock bag and freeze. Then when she is ready use a little paint brush and paint the pistols or put the zip lock bag over a branch and seal it off good and give it a shake. Looks like I'll have a lot of branches to choose from.

Little bag seed. I love the fat leaves so I had to let it run.

I still need to paint it white. It works though.

  16. So I took 3 cuttings 19 days ago and stuck them in soil. Gave them a little tug 2 days ago and they came right out. So I went ahead and soaked some rapid rooters in KLN and took Another cut. I also took the three that were in soil and put them in the RR's. The fresh cut is all callused up and two of the three have little nubs coming off of them. I guess I need to leave them alone now and let them do there thing.
Here's a pic with lights out and a close up.
