Title says it all..I'm looking for expert opinions to get the most out of my first grow. Equipment I have: 1 400W MH & HPS lighting kit with hanging equipment, and timer 2 6" 250 CFM inline fans 2 other oscillating fans 1 Humidity/Temp reader 1 Lengthy surge protector 1 Roll of reflective Mylar 1 Roll of Aluminum duct tape Approx. 15 Gal of Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil Fox Farm 3 part nutrient kit PH control kit I also plan to buy a 6" carbon scrubber once things get moving, I plan to use Ona Gel or Ozium temporarily. Seed selection: 3x Dark Devil XL (Red Family), 1x Pineapple Express 1x Afghan Kush Ryder all from attitude seeds. Grow Area: 2 entrance, fairly small walk in closet, with 2 sets of double doors. LxWxH 7x2x6 Completely lined with mylar. Idea: Flowers located on the right side of the 2 sets of doors with a makeshift foam board insulation wall separating the two sets of doors. The 2 Duct fans built in to this wall, one as an intake, one as an outtake creating a box, and a second area to vent to and out of. Questions: 1. Given I can keep temperatures optimal, and i'm looking for quality over quantity, how many plants would someone recommend I grow in these conditions? 2: Guesstimated yield? 3: Suggestions to improve efficiency? 4: Distance the light should be from sprouts/plants? 5. Best light schedule for quality? 24/0? 20/4? 18/6? 6. How much water do autoflowers need? 7: 3 or 5 Gal grow pots? 8. I plan to train the plants as they grow allowing the most light as possible, best tek for a fairly small closet grow? Also open to all opinions or recommendations, thank you guys for your help and i'll be following this up with a grow journal in a few more days.
5 gallon pots if u want better yield, the yield i have no clue what u will get. u seem to have everything set up correctly. maybe some cal/mag and phospurus if you run into a problem. and get a microscope. and a watering pot. pH meter. u have the kit already

i m no expert but they are nutrients that the plant needs to grow healthy. a lot of people dont watch wat they are doing and the plant can get a nutrient defficieny. for the seedling i would use 2 26 6500k cfl bulbs before you transfer into a bigger pot.
Can't take transfers because their life cycle is predetermined and it only des creases their growth and yield. I have go farm nutrients but im not sure which nutrients they are exactly Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum

if you are gonna start in big pot you have to be careful with watering and lighting because the new seedling is very delicate. i dont know how much more i can help. germinate them and go for it. peace
I plan to use the 400W MH which I can adjust 75 50 and 25 percent, and keep it 2-3 ft away from the sprouts until 2-3 sets of leaves develop.
