How do you make weed oil or wax for a vape pen?

Soak it in vegetable oil for 30 minutes then SHUSHUSHA. put filtered oil in your vape and smoke up.

OP there are different methods to doing so. The easiest one to start with is making QWISO but provides very shitty yields. BHO is your best bet. I've never done it myself but I don't think it's all that complicated. Just make sure you take the proper safety precautions. 

 

If you don't know, don't try to learn off line, wait until you get someone to teach you in the flesh, you don't need to blow your self up, or burn down your house.

 

Yea, lot of ways to go about it, lot of opinions too. I smoke my bho after 40 minutes of heat purging and I'm happy with it, $8 ghetto-rigged column wash too, nothing fancy. Quick, easy, and I'm smoking oil within an hour of deciding to make it. ISO takes me a day or two and my product is not as good. (I've seen great iso hash, I guess I just don't have the patience to make it properly)
 
I got this off about 10 grams of trim in a turkey baster, but my next run is going to be a butane soak with all bud in a thermos for a better yield. (hopefully)

Look up waxpaynes thread on making a better oil pen. For like 8 bucks if you've already got a base, you can smoke straight shatter,no tincture needed.
Otherwise, your gonna have to invest in propylene glycol/ vegetable glycerin. It's the stuff they use for e-cig drops. Mixing this with shatter/wax /oil you can make an oily substance that'll vape easily. And you can flavor it.last batch I made was cotton candy flavored.

I have what all I need includinf a crock pot

 

What you need.... to extract. for BHO
Herb
Extractor tube, (size of tube determines amount of herb.  I have a 3/4"ID x 8" long tube I use.  Holds about 1/4oz.)
butane ( I ussually use 1-2 can per extraction)
pyrex bowl
Hot pad
 
Breakup buds, or grind them with herb grinder. Load the tube (tamp the weed down in the tube, but dont mash it in). GO OUTSIDE, NO SMOKING.  Hold tube with hot pad and spray the butane through the tube of herb, into the pyrex bowl.
 
Now come the purge or butane removal process. This process should be done outdoors.  But if it must be done indoors, it must be a well ventelated place where the is NO possibility of a flame or spark.
 
One option is to let the bowl just sit on a shelf for a few days.
But we will do a heat purge.  I use a food dehumidifier.  With the cover on and adjustment of the vents I can maintain temps between 100 and 140 degrees in the chamber.  2-6 hours at 100-140 degrees.   Most if not all the Butane seems to be out by around the 2 hour mark, and yeilds amber shatter.  At around the 6 hour mark the product is more of a moist powder-like texture, like brown sugar or earwax.  The longer purge stuff is what I prefer to use in my pen. 
 
Alternate method of purging is to float the bowl, in hot water, Double boiler or crockpot work best.  Goal is to get the product in the bowl up above 100 degrees but not over about 150.  REMEBER you are working with butane NO FLAMES.  So if you use the DBL boiler, then boil the water inside on the stove is OK, ONLY if the bowl of extract is OUTSIDE.

Also, used to huff huge quantities of butane as a teenager like 20 years ago and I'm still breathing fine.
