Are high CBD strains/low THC strains prevalent in the medical scene?

I live in Florida so I don't know what the medical scene is like very well, but I know that a goal of medical cannabis is to gain support for cannabis on grounds that it is potentially a very effective medicine.

That being said, there are people who benefit from CBD as well as THC, and there are people who even do not want THC but need CBD. However, I am under the impression that CBD is suppressed in the medical cannabis industry. Looking from the outside in, so-to-speak, it seems that mostly all strains are high THC and low CBD.

Do cannabis dispensaries provide high CBD and low THC medicine as well as the typical high THC medicine? Or is CBD hard to find?

I just read an article about four brothers who have developed an exclusively CBD plant specifically for treating epilepsy
*edit* The strain is called Charlotte's Web

  3. Yes they provide both.  i was just there today and they had 2 strains with about 14% CBD.  I believe one was indica with around 5% THC the other a hybrid with 7% THC.  They're not hard to find, but there's not a plethora either.

Yeah I saw that on Sanjay Gupta's documentary, apparently that strain is not being highly produced though.
