Med mj for pets endorsed by veterinarian

  1. I was just wondering if somehow I could treat my son's dog who has debilitating (4-5 seizures a week) seizures.  They've had him to conventional vets who put him on phenobarbital which only worked for a short time, so they kept upping it until they had to take him to a neurologist (for dogs!) who just put him on stronger chemical shit that still hasn't worked.

Found this on Vice from Apr 2013,   http://www.vice.com/read/the-vet-who-wants-to-legalize-medical-marijuana-for-dogs-000841-v20n4

Basically as long as you aren't blowing smoke in their face(that's abuse) and use it as an edible tincture it can be a viable alternative as with humans.

Not sure if my son will go for it, but will let him know it may help. =/

  2. Our vet has been treating our dog for canine lupus. A cannabis salve is part of the regimen. This is in a legal state.

  3. Canine lupus sounds like such an oxymoron to me.
