I have been growing in hydroton and cut the clone stems long to have roots in bottom of hydroton pot.
I want to try rockwool and have some 6x6x6 cubes and some ready clones. I think next time I will cut stems shorter if I decide to stay with rockwool.
The problem I am thinking of is taking the long clones with long roots from the EZ Clone and moving to the rockwool cubes.
If i split the rockwool or punch a large hole in the bottom of the hole for the rockwool cube:will the rockwool close back up over time when filled with water or can I compress the block by hand to close gap and not damage the roots?
Any suggestions how to do this while preventing damage to the roots.
