I've narrowed my grow down to a 3x3 tent running 2-3 plants when the time comes.[/quote]Yeah I have 2 under cfl I am getting the 3x3x60" tent for my closet and 2 of them cause I won't have to worry about heatWhy so serious????? He puts the bong to my mouth!! WHY SO SERIOUS???? LETS PUT A SMILE ON THAT FACE!!! *bongin* (cough cough) :D

  2. Awesome, I'll have to see how much money I have when the time comes if I will run 2. Have you bought a tent yet? which one are you getting. I've been looking at this one since the poles actually snap together unlike the plastic corner ones and its cheap!

  3. http://www.ebay.com/...=item485b5b80c9thats a good starter tent. making your own might be like 30 cheaper... but this tent will sure make you a lot happier. Why so serious????? He puts the bong to my mouth!! WHY SO SERIOUS???? LETS PUT A SMILE ON THAT FACE!!! *bongin* (cough cough) :D

the virtual sun is a nice tent as well!
    just so you both know.
i prefer the lighthouse hydro as a starter tent because it has more ventilation inlets. i theres theres like 4 standars 6 inchers and then 2 cord inlets as well, where as the virtual sun uses like a total of 3 maybe? i t could be 4.
either way, both great starter tents.
i use a 4x4 lighthouse for flower and a 4x2 lighthouse for veg.

    CAM00491.jpg
i like the multiple inlets for convenient re-routing of the ducting.

  6. Do you think I would benefit more from running 1 mars 2 700w compared to 1 mars 2 400w in a 3x3

  7.
well i have both my tents in my bedroom, and i spend 10-12 hours in my bedroom at least on a daily basis. so Co2 isnt a worry.
so it doesn't really matter if i have all my tents hooked up, but with them all hooked up it gives me the ability to maximise my air flow.
I have 3 inline fans, a 6 inch 270 cfm one pulling the air into my veg tent
an 8 inch 440 cfm fan pulling air from my veg tent into my flower tent, and a 6 inch 470 cfm fan with carbon scrubber pulling air out of my flower tent.
this way, im clearing all my tents at the same time, through the same scrubber. idk, it's easier this way :)
otherwise i would need a fourth fan for exhaust from my veg tent.

bigger is almost always better. so yes. and theres only like a $50 difference for almost twice as much light.

  8. So what is your average harvest? Why so serious????? He puts the bong to my mouth!! WHY SO SERIOUS???? LETS PUT A SMILE ON THAT FACE!!! *bongin* (cough cough) :D

I have just finished reading your whole thread and thought I'd pop in. I see a lot of great reviews of the Mars2 led systems and for the money the seem to get the job done right. Check out Htown's grow journal when you get a chance. He is running some custom Mars2. I myself decided to go with California Light Works' Solar Storm 400w X 2 and couldn't be more pleased. Sure, the lights are 800$ each but they make up for that with a hand full of features to include a switch to go between veg and bloom, built in uvb boosters, and a first class 50,000 hour life span and an incredible warranty. Feel free to check out my journal as well.Good luck with your future endeavors. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

well with 300 watts in my tent i yielded 230 grams :) so not too bad if i do say so myself.
an avg of like 35 grams each and one plant that yielded a little bit more. its was all insanely resinous bud too

    damnit man. do your research.
im sorry, this is going to sound rude, but i want people to stop buying those damn solarflares.

    http://www.reptiles.swelluk.com/reptile-supplies/reptile-lighting-415/reptile-uv-bulb-lamps-562/arcadia-d3-reptile-lamp-t5-12-uvb-282650.html

a single one of those lights will compensate for about 5 of those solar flare uvb tubes.
and remember, UVB and UVA are super short wavelengths.
also meaning they dont have photon density like the reds and yellows, so they neeeeeed to be closer to the plant... but you cant really take the uvbs off of the solarflares and move them closer to the plant can you? :/
its a gimmick man. sorry :/
like is said, absolutly no disrespect meant. i just want people to know... that california light works, while badass, is just like any other company... they are out for $$$

  11. Bubbles, would you tell Cyrus to fuck off please?

    lol

  12. well tried posting from  my phone and it kept bugging out, anyways i am looking into buying this led tent kit thing from HTG (  http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-Out-Of-This-World-Grow-Kit  ) and was wondering what you thought about it emma & dave. i suppose i would need a diff inline fan and i was thinking of upgrading to either the 120w tri band or the 240 w 7band but figured id ask you and get your opinion, ive only done 2 grows and they were PC micro grows :D the tent seems about the size i want i jus want to get 2-3 plants to grow 2-6 oz of smokeable. anyways let me know what you think about that kit and if you think it would be a good deal or not, with the upgraded lights i think itll run me about 650 ish, + another 120 on some ducting and carbon filter + a new inline fan im guessin.

  13. you're on the right track, but heres some personal thoughts from my encounters.
the 20" deep tents are too shallow for any good sized plants.
in saying that, my first grow i pulled 7 oz off two plants in a 36x20x64 (same size tent as youre looking at.)
if you can fit the extra 4" do the 24 inch depth, it's well worth it.
as for that tent, i havent had experience with them specifically, but i havent heard anything negative!

gimie a couple hours and after my theraputic massage class i'll build you a nice starter shopping list.
just lemme know if you want to stick with the 20" or if you can go up to 24"

I did a bunch of research before I settled on CFLSF. For sure I didn't buy them just for the uvb. A main selling point is that they're made and assembled in the u.s. and they get rave reviews. okay, okay, on that note, hell yeah for supporting the local economy  :)
solarflares par ratings are, well to use a pun, beyond par.
they are one system that you can pretty much just set above the canopy and not have to worry much. unlike most leds that need to constantly be adjusted and moved.
but i don't need to tell you that.
sorry if i was hasty, i've just seen too many people dive head first into led and drop 1-2k on lighting when for a beginner, it reeeaalllyyy isnt necessary
oh yeah, if you are looking to support your own habit a miny purpetual sea of green grow would be the way to go. 6 smaller plants stagered in pairs of two by 3 weeks. at least, thats how i would do it with the smaller tent and all. but that's for another story.

that should be around 500-600 at the most and its a damn good start.
