All three seedlings are in the DWC buckets. 1/2 strength nutes @ around 900 ppm plus S.O.S.

The bit of damaged leaves around the bottom of those girls aren't a big deal. Some of that is from spilling stuff on them when I was watering them in the Solo cups, and TBH, I just didn't fool with them much, as I didn't want them outgrowing the armoire.

So the homemade hybrid bean is about 14", and the Aurora Indica about 12" tall. All in all I'm pretty happy with how things look. I could get another 2 DWC's in the small tent, but it would be crowded. It will be an eyeball game deciding when to move plants along into flower, but I expect at least one of these will go in there by end of next week. I'll be happy to have the ability to veg in the 32" immediately after sprouting a bean from here on out, and looking to start getting into some LST earlier in the growth cycle.

It's a relief to know that what I'm producing is going to be decent. The BB I chopped was about half dead, and I gave a bit to a friend to get his opinion. He burned it up with his lady friend and they both loved it, and that was from a damaged plant. I clipped a tiny popcorn bud off the F-35-V and chopped it as finely as I could manage and smoked miniscule hits in the bong and got seriously couch locked for a while on what amounted to bupkus, so I can't wait to get that girl dried and cured, along with some really beautiful White Widow buds, another couple of F35 versions and a decent sized Blackberry. Quantities aren't going to be nothing to write home about, but I'd be thrilled to net 8 finished zips out of the entire effort. That'll hold me for a while.

Some random micro bud porn from yesterday, and a few pics of the DWC from today. The plant from the homemade bean unexpectedly autoed right at day 30, and is a girl. Going to let her run, and as soon as I have a hole in the big tent in a day or two, she'll go in there for 12/12. Gonna wait about a week or two before I pop anything else. The plants in DWC seem happy and growth is clearly visible. The Aurora has a couple of roots below the basket already. Didn't check the others, but it's a safe assumption they're there as well.

Been thinking I should begin to shift the DWC stuff to a new thread. I'll wait until the current harvest is finsihed and pick up the DWC run.

Chopped all the girls today. I'll fuss with the tall tent tomorrow and move the auto over.

  4. Holy sweet harvest Batman! Really great looking. Nice work. :hello:

I love those micro pics in your previous post too. I don't know how I missed them, but just saw today. Had to show the wife. I want one.

How do you like your DWC gear?

  5.
Thanks! Just happy I have them finally cut, and I'm done with the coco and tiny hydro tubs. Haven't watered for like 3 days, and got some nice hard buds. Hope they stay hard. The runt Widow buds got pretty soft when she dried. In the jar already for her. The 35-V in the jar is beginning to smooth out a little, and is amazing smelling.

So far I like the DWC! The one cross of mine has shot up like 4" in a few days, and seriously filled out. You can see it in the pics when you go back a bit. Wish I had the space to set them up with a pump and res, but these are working fine so far. Can't wait to see what that girl does under the mixed lights. Gonna have to fabricate a couple more buckets in the next week or two. Not sure what I want to pop next.

Still monkeying with the big tent, and getting the auto in there immediately isn't a big, big priority. I'm going over the cut girls with tweezers pulling out all the dead leaves and cleaning them up while they're still wet, and that's a big job. About all you can do is put on a movie and get busy, but after they're ready to jar up, all I gotta do is cut down the buds and colas.

Checked the plants out, and seeing nice roots on all three plants. The auto has really stretched to almost 19" already, so that's like 5" in less than a week. Trimmed a bit of the rubbish around the bottom, and will do some bottom lolly-popping a day or two before I move it. I figure adding 200-400 more watts of light will probably be a little bit of a shock. Seriously considered using the colloidal silver on her, but I really don't want any more autos. If it's like phenomenally killer when it's done, I'll find another one and do it on that.

Harvest is in the jars! :yay:

I personally don't like drying plants to the point where the stems snap clean, and I think all these girls went too long, except maybe the Widows. So some of those buds were on the dryish side anyhow. The only problem is I really need to stay on top of opening those jars. I've already been emptying the existing jars into a tub daily to make sure it all gets a chance to breath. Plus I open them up several times a day. So there. Don't ask for weights, since I haven't weighed anything. I'm sure the numbers will be underwhelming, but I'm aiming for more next grow. Sure looks like enough for a while.

I got tired of using the gloves, so I barehanded the last few plants. Scraped a pile of hash off the sissors, and quite a bit off my fingers, so I got a couple of good chunks of hash, and I'm fixin' to run a bit through the MFLB with the plain concentrate tray. Really not overly fond of hash. I smoked so much of it when I was stationed in Europe, and I went through a ton of Lebanese when I worked in the Middle East. However, it's been long enough to be a novelty, but I'll likely end up mixing it in with other smokables to get the edge off.

Probably hack up a lung. :bongin:

    The DWC's.

I checked the ppm and it's around 825, so I only topped up with ph'd water - No cal-mag, S.O.S., nuthin'.

The LED's present their own problems. Too close to the plants and they seem to hate it, but further away and that homegrown bean stretches like crazy. If it wasn't considered "Experimental" in my mind, I'd probably dump it. It'd be a perfect plant stretch-wise for one of the LST techniques I want to try, but being auto precludes that, since I'd need some consistent, sustained veg growth.

None of my plants really smell like "Pot." Dank for sure, and there's a serious anesthesia component. The smell gets better and better as it sits in the jars, but it's weird to not have a skunk aroma. I guess I need to order some of those "Cheese" or "Skunk" beans if I want that.

Fixin' to terminate this thread soon as I'm pretty much switching up everything going to DWC, and I'm not sure I'm an actual "Micro Grow" with a perpetual run started. I'll post a link to the new thread when I get it set up.

  9. Sweet harvest @[member="JerryInDFW"]! 8 jars seems like a respectable haul. :hello:

I've let dry just a little too much and can relate. I'm jealous of the scissor hash. That's my fav!

Do I remember correctly that you have a 5 watt LED light?

Will be looking forward to the next thread. Good stuff! :bongin:

    Thanks!

I had forgotten how much I've gone off hashish. My resin nugs will likely end up in some sort of consumable.

And yeah, I'd rather screw with burping the jars 10 times a day than let these plants get too dry from hanging. That's kind of what happened to the -B, but it still smokes. I laid a bit on some test subjects, and they liked the buzz, so... it just looks like crap. I think all my plants except the Widows went too long growing, really. Half a trench in the FB, and I'm nearly unconscious. If I knew a medical patient I'd just give them what's left of that -B, since it's pure anesthesia. I'm pulling earlier next time and trying for something a bit trippier.

Nope. I have a 300w LED panel (3w LED's) in each tent. The big flowering tent also has a 400w dimmable HID fixture, currently with a HPS bulb that I generally run about 300w. I'm in the process of reconfiguring the big tent, and will have the first DWC plant shifted over by the weekend probably. Right now I'm enjoying saving the 800w or so electricity. No big rush as it's an auto F35/BB that I crossed, so is only experimental, and is going to flower regardless of where it is or photoperiod.

Just a note now that the harvest has much of the wet weight evaprorated. I expect I'll net about 9.5 oz's of bud, along with a buncha shake and trim. This doesn't count all the production samples I nicked. Not horribly bad, and more than my initial goal of 8 zips.

In the jars and curing, the Widows aren't all that great smelling yet, but the BB is getting excellent, and the three 35's are all really divine smelling. I guess that Freedom 35 strain is better than I thought, potency wise, just a little unstable. I bet a very experienced grower with access to outdoors could really get something wild out of them. I'll definitely be harvesting with less flowering time in the perpetual cycle.

This is probably my last post in this thread, unless someone chimes in.
