No more red eyes?

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by Pot4fun, Jan 10, 2014.

  1. So after years of toking ive noticed i dont really get red eyes anymore. i used to get red eyes all the time, but now it only happens if ive been very baked for a bit. the area around my eyes get red and my eyes still get low/glossy just not red anymore. this happen to anyone else?

  2. My eyes used to get SO red. Since I smoke pretty much everyday they don't get red anymore. If I take a break from smoking for a couple days and then smoke again my eyes get redder though.

  3. I rarely get red eyes as well. it seems to only happen now if I break a nug down then start rubbing my eyes (which is stupid)... then they will get really irritated. but yeah I never get "baked eyes" anymore.

  4. I almost never get red eyes, and when I get, they seem it is from being tired. But in New Year Eve, I bought 5gr of the best weed I ever smoked. Smoked it all between 1am and 5am, I got home pretty early, and my eyes were like this but fuckin dried:

  5. Mine never get red either. Guessing it's to do with our tolerances.

  6. Yeah, surely. But not only due to that. Different people with the same tolerante may get different symptons. There are people that get dark circles, other almost close their eyes . . .Enviado do meu iPhone usando o Grasscity Forum

  7. Mine rarely get red. Maybe a little glazed look but never really red. I think it has something to do with coughing. I vape exclusively and never really cough. My buddy coughs like crazy after vaping or smoking and his eyes are always red. Not sure if that is true just a bit of observation.

  8. I never cough either, but I did once in the New Year, so I don't knowEnviado do meu iPhone usando o Grasscity Forum

  9. Thats funny because i noticed my eyes starting to turn red they use to never at all

  10. I only notice myself with red eyes if they've gotten irritated from smoke literally getting into my eye, but not just from smoking :) Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity F

  11. I've got a theory that red eye has to do with smoke touching your eyes. When you hotbox a gram, you get really red eyes, but if you smoke 2 or 3 you can still have white eye.

  12. Mine used to when I first started smoking, but I've found the more I smoke (sometimes I smoke daily, sometimes it's just a few times a week, sometimes I can go 2 weeks at a time) the less red they are. I think they usually get a little lower and glazed, but holy cow your eyes were RED oldmonkey! That's insane.

  13. That is not a photo from me, but Yeah. They were like that x)Enviado do meu iPhone usando o Grasscity Forum

  14. someone was telling me the other day that its got something to do with vasodilation. Apparently weed screws with your blood pressure and causes your blood vessels to widen, hence why your eyes go red, its just the tiny veins in your eyes showing up.
Things like coffee, weed etc widen them i think, and then stuff like cigarettes make them constrict again.

  15. this makes sense considering pot can increase your heart rate and the veins in your eyes get thicker. sometimes when i first started i would actually pop a blood vessel in my eye

But blood pressure does increase as well, and this is more likely to justify the veins getting thicker. But heart rate may justify the increase in blood pressure. So, yeah, you were right :) just forgot one little thingEnviado do meu iPhone usando o Grasscity Forum

  17. Oh okay goo hahaha because that was insane

  18. Ive been smoking weed for about 7 months now about every weekend, but some weeks ill do it every day, there isnt much of a pattern. Anyway no matter what every time i smoke my eyes go unbelievably red, does anyone recommend eye drops ? Are they any good ?

  19. I really like Rhoto Eye Drops. They were super fast and just are my favorites after going through tons of different kinds. Just don't use eye drops everytime or all day because I mean it's not a big deal but it can screw with your eyes and what not

  20. It happens because the more you smoke the more THC is in your bloodstream at all times since it is the tattle tale drug and stays in your system for months. So your body always has "red eyes" so your eyes adapt to being red. What causes red eyes is actually when you smoke you relax and blood vessels dilate making your eye blood vessels to dilate causing the red tint. Also our tolerances are the opposite of what we perceive them to be. Read this expert from Exploring Psychology by Myers.

-"Marijuana and alcohol also differ. The body eliminates alcohol within hours. THC
and its by - products linger in the body for a week or more, which means that regular
users may achieve a high with smaller amounts of the drug than would be needed by
occasional users. This is contrary to the usual path of tolerance, in which repeat users
need to take larger doses to feel the same effect."
So the good thing is tolerance breaks are not true nor needed, toke on :smoking:  :bongin:
