Hello,starting new grow op in a room 10 x 15 feet. Was wondering how many plants we could grow at a time. wanted to get 2 cycles going 3 months apart.

well we're not experts is that alot more work than a traditional setup and whats the difference in initial investment?

anyone can read a book lol. ive read that book a million times lol. Sure a 600 can do a 4x4 area. But the question is how good can a 600 do a 4x4 area. For a decent harvest you want about 50w per sq ft of hid lighting. So in a 4x4 area a 600w light would be 37.5w per sq ft. Now a 1k would be 62.5w per sq ft. imo anything under 50w per sq fr is not going to yield very well. I will tell you the best advice is get a good sized load center wired in with big ass cable. all the lights in the world are not worth a fuck without power. there is your first task, nothing else means a fucking thing.

I was getting serious about an irrigation system for soil but said fuck it move to hydro. I have my new DIY cloner full of bubalicious now. With the OP going for a big room the next thing after power is a good water filter, run a pipe for it if needed. Clean water right there in the room is great. Thats why an extra bathroom makes a good grow room,water line, drains,tub sink, fart fan. All the handy things. I wish I had a dollar for every fucking milk jug of water I hauled.
Hell yeah that also another thing I need to get working on is making a cloner thanks for reminding me haha. I used to go to the local grocery store and refill my four 5 gallon water jugs and let me say that was a pain in the ass doing that weekly. Now I have filtered water I put in a 50 gallon barrel with a 100 gallon air pump.

[/quote]I would suggest getting one light, set it up in the corner and grow five or six plants. that way you can learn what you doing. After that you would know what you need to do to fill that room.A Multi light grow is not something for beginner to jump into.Anyway good luck with whatever you decide.Mjmarijuana is nature's way of saying high!
